asus k8v se deluxe

i am going to buy a asus k8v se deluxe motherboard and i was woundering since it does not support dual channel ram, would it still work if i got dual channel ram. the ram i want is Corsair TWINX1024-3200C2PT 1GB DDR400 XMS3200 Dual-Channel Memory. will this still work with out dual channel since it is 2 sticks of 512???

I have the same board and it worked fine with my Geil Ultra PC3200 dual channel kit. I think the ram had to be in slots 1 and 3 but don't quote me. Hope this helps.

pretty much all ram works in that board.......asus did a good job, theres an article on toms hardware where they test 13 memory modules (including geil, ocz, corsair etc) with major socket 754 boards, including the k8v se

not sure bout puttin in slots 1 an 3 as its not dual channle configuration but long as it works

it can work in 1 and 2 or 1 and 3. But since its not a dual channel board you can use it in 1 and 2.

Im running two sticks of 512 MB of Ram in the first and third slots on that motherboard.
