asus motherboard help please.

Mine died as well. Need help.

1st time booting up booted into bios which i did to change fsb i though from 100 to 166.

Never booted again.

Tried -cpu switch, ram switch, cmos clear with battery and jumper, reinstalling all components.

Any suggestions.

I tried reseting the cmos, switched memory and switched mem in diff. banks. Tried getting it to beep with no cpu, no hd and nothing.

It booted on the first attempt but now nothing after i tried to change from 100 to 166.

sounds like a crapped mobo... just RMA it. I can't think of anything else. Check if the northbridge is overheating

It could be something with the power supply but I dont know how to check that. I know my supply is enermax 450watt i bought like 2 years ago, but with my 1700+ it only allows me to get the voltage down to 1.86 when i set the bios to the lowest reading of 1.80. And i know it was running default at 1.85 in the bios for a while which was really 1.92 for about 8 months without me knowing. Some of the connector ends that go into the power slot in the motherboard are a bit browned. Any suggestions

Oh and after i reupped my old 1700 and asus a7v266 it wont boot to 1.5ghz..its only doing 1.1.

The default voltage for a 2500+ is 1.65V, 1.9 may kill it if you run it there too long. Anyway, I'd RMA the motherboard. Try returning it to wherever you bought it because Asus's process is a friggin' PITA.

Also try the "BIOS-swap trick" or just letting it sit unplugged with no battery for a few hours or overnight.
