To me, this has been the hardest one to pick.
I need to stay around the 200 doller mark.
I like what I read about both cards.
I want the 32mg, and GTS.
I do both 2d and 3d like everybody else.
I'm worried about the 2d roll over with the Asus?
Read the Elsa does better on 2d?
There seems to be only about 20 dollars between the two.
The Elsa Being higher.

I'd say gladiac...tests best as far as gaming (if that's what you do) and has slightly better 2d as well. Of course, the differences are so minute compared to their performance (maybe 2 fps in q3 in the worst case) that it's basically unnoticeable. I'd go with Elsa since I know that they have some other high quality and professional products that dominate (well...not really dominate, but whatever) the professional world (ie Gloria III using nvidia's quadro2 pro chipset).
In the end, I doubt the differences between the two are really noticeable since they use the same chipset, just different packaging.

elsa can also be upgraded to vivo with their add on module.

I heard about another upgrade, which involves replacing a couple of Surface-mount capacitors and soldering in different ones in their place, but I never really trusted that mod even though it did work for the guy. Didn't give enough information on the capacitor (type of dielectric, max voltage, current, wattage, cap rise time, settling time, blahblahblah...). Don't wanna spend $300 on a vid card and blow it cuz I used the wrong components.

I've installed 3 Elsa Gladiacs in the last couple of months and they all have very good 2D quality. One Gladiac is in my machine and the 2D at 1280X960 is great...as long as you don't use a Trinitron monitor...then any GeForce is going to suck. I tried 3 Trinitrons on this ELSA and finally opted for a 955DF.

Running the Gladiac right now and love it. My vote is for the Elsa.

which is cheaper? if they're both the same, i'd go with asus. i have their v6600 deluxe and love it.

IMO ATI Radeon will kick the crap out of either of those Geforce cards and is probably a bit cheaper.
