Asus or MSI ?

I'll buy a new graphics card R9 270.

What is the best brand / version of this model? In quality and durability is better asus or msi?

I typically only buy evga nvidia cards or MSI/Asus for amd. MSI is my preference though.

I had the same question, but for the GTX 760. The MSI in that case had lower temperatures, noise, and power consumption, and a lot of OC headroom, so I went with that. The coolers used here look the exact same. Just look up some reviews and do a comparison.

ASUS RMA could be described by taking the "U" out of ASUS.

So MSI +1. MSI happens to be one of the best for CS, while Asus is (AFAIK) one of the worst. The DCUII is a decent card itself, it's a shame when you have to deal with their CS though since it completely ruins the hardware.

It depends on the price, but check their clock speeds and the power phases. You can't go wrong with either of them, anyway, so anything you choose it's gonna be fine. The differences between them are minimal.

That said, do check the power phases. More power phases mean better theoretical stability under overclock and a higher overclock ceiling, but it may also mean you need to get a new PSU... Also, the MSI is a bit cooler (temperature-wise) and a bit more silent, from what I read. But it's also a bit bigger, and that might be a factor for you?

Also, tuga power and all that.

One of my current cards is an ASUS, one an MSI and they're both very good (haven't needed an RMA in years so that's not a factor). Last fall I had an ASUS HD 7770 with that same fan shroud. Its moderate in noise during gaming. I'd probably go with the MSI just for the larger fan diameter.

ASUS is #1 in the world....... Go with ASUS if you dont want any issues and want best performance you can get. gl

Run away from Sapphire in Portugal. Costumer support is worse than Asus', seriously, go Asus. Sapphire is a good brand, but if you ever have a problem, god help you.

As for having it in stock, have you considered ordering online? A quick search finds me a MSI 270 at 167€. That's a nice price.

I run a couple of ASUS 270's in CrossFire and they aren't that bad. Sure, the heatsink isn't as huge as 270X's (ASUS or MSI) but it does the job at reasonable temps ( <75c) and doing so, quietly, with only 2 PCI-E cables. It retains the same amount of power phases of its bigger brother (270X) minus one or two phases for memory. It can run at 1100 GPU, 1500 memory on stock voltage, so I am happy.

For once, the Long Idle mode is working as it should. I am impressed and pleasantly shocked (after bad experiences with the 7000 series), they must have finally fixed it. IMO, this is a great bonus for running multiple cards. Saves a ton of power. It's nice to get up in the morning and seeing both fans turned off and the rig consuming only 25W in this mode. Hopefully, Maxwell will come up with something similar, as I am eager to build an nVIDIA SLI system soon.

Epa eu queria mesmo era a msi 270 gaming mas ta esgotada, tava a 165 na pccomponentes.
Aconselhas a asus? li umas reviews que diziam que as memorias vram nao recebiam nenhum tipo de ventilação, nem têm as almofadas termicas em contacto, e que por isso elas aqueciam muito, isso preocupa-me, quero uma grafica que me dura uns bons anos.

Don't care, I've got 3 years of warranty on that deal in a local store, should it go kaput sooner, will get an equal or faster card as a replacement.

If you care about the temps, get the X version of either brand.

I have a sapphire 270 with the aftermarket cooler and it's rock solid.

It clocks crazy high as well and is fairly silent.

If all you do is gaming, then GTX 660 should be a better choice, imo. Because well, it has PhysX (in some games it's a must, imo) and things like Adaptive Vsync (which I really like), out of the box. And if the price is really hot, it's a no brainer

I've dealt with both. but in two occasions I have sent RMA to ASUS and only to receive the replacement with different issues. I don't know about MSI support.

MSI, mostly because their RMA service. They have a service center 10 minutes away from my house .
