Asus P4B266 Turbo 1/2 mode

What exactly do the Turbo 1/2 mode (in the mem setting) do in P4B266? Anyone knows?

Also, i'm using Motherboard Monitor 5 (MBM 5), why is my CPU temp measured in a unit of 4degree (ie: 24, 28,32 but never 31..etc) ? I assume "sensor 2" is the CPU temp since it varies the most after gaming/intensive task

Turbo1 mode keeps PCI and AGP locked at just above their default speeds (I believe PCI under Turbo1 is something like 34MHz). Turbo2 keeps both PCI and AGP locked a bit higher above their default speeds, but still workable for most PCI devices. The use of these modes allow you to overclock without putting your PCI and AGP bus out of spec (or at least, more than a very very little out of a spec).

Would there be any distict benefit from running the PCI or AGP slots at a higher frequency than default?
For example, would I gain anything out of my system by running at Turbo 2 rather than Turbo 1? I would try this myself but my system doesn't arrive until the 25th.

Raiz,

Your bus throughout improves at higher PCI clocks...and thus can improve performance. However, at the same time, there are some PCI cards that can't run stable when running higher PCI clocks. You can try mode 2, but if that doesn't run stable, stick to mode 1.
