ive got benchies all over these forums!
your point is well taken tho
i will compile a massive list of all my benchies in as many configs as i can find!
(do you have any idea how many benchies that is?)
give me a few mins.........

just figure the i845e and i845pe results are "best possible if youre really good" whereas the e7205 can be had by any moron with cheap ram

i am vid card limited ~ definately!
im still tweaking tho ~ and maybe ill get a bit more from my vid card

not every program/game cares about memory bandwidth ~ CAS settings yes, bandwidth no

i did install the new det 4109 drivers ~ pulled a 14417 in 3dm2k1

I gotta get one of these...I'll take a GB board with whatever memory I can get over what I have now (845e/845pe with not good enough memory) anyday....gotta get one.....

TR, thanks for the info. Just ordered P4G8X, 2.66Ghz P4, and (2) 256M Corsair XMS3500 to go with my 9700Pro. Hopefully, I can post some benches when I get it running.

yea thats the thing Mikki~
on i845 boards you will need killer ram just to run 440ddr cas2.5-3-3-7~
on the gbay you could literally use anything~

i suppose it all depends on where you are starting from and where ya wanna end up
Gbay is much easier to overclock tho thats for sure~
only vcore will limit how far you can go (upto 195fsb that is)

I'll hold on to the emmy in case we get a bios update for 195fsb+, but I'm gonna look for a new proc for mine...

At least I don't have to worry about memory, I've got two good sticks...

youll need the X-bios

Yep 1.6v was a sweet spot for me also with the AGP.

ATI AIW Radeon 8500 - I did go back to the Cat 3.0 drivers.
The Cat 3.1 was actually running lower 3DMarks than my old board.

170fsb . . . . 10372 . . . . . 2.4b . . . Abit BD7II
170fsb . . . . 11157 . . . . . 2.4b . . . Asus P4G8X

And I am sitting here holding the shrink wrapped box
with this ATI All in Wonder 9700 Pro 8X 128Mb.
Going out of town in the morning and won't be able to install
until next week. :disgust:

My 9700 Pro was definitely one of the best investments that i've ever made. But, i think that Thug's "make my day" upgrade would be an unlocked 800 Mhz ES CPU for an affordable price.

Thugsrook, excellent work on the AGP testing, fantastic info...CAS testing also, tho it's no surprise... As far as the vdimm test, the results would depend on the particular memory, wouldn't it?
