Asus P4S533 , 1.8A, oc'ing problems. Please help.

Hey guys..

Hopefully i can get your expertise on this issue.

I read how wonderful and fast the P4S533 is, as well as how well it can overclock. So I picked this board up along with a retail 1.8A Northwood CPU. Ram is PC2700 Samsung brand. the system boots fine at default clock 1.8, but if I try 133fsb (2.4ghz), the system doesn't even post. Normally, i would look at cooling, but the system seems to run cool, and normally, with cooling issues, the system should atleast post, but not boot, or even crash during boot.

So again, no post at 2.4.. I've tried the setting the timing to 2.5T, still nothing. the Voice feature says something about the system not being able to start because of overclocking.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated

please move yourself over to the cpu/overclocking forum if you want more responses

enable the overvolt jumper on the board.
in bios set cpu voltage to 1.6v. (will be 1.7v actual)

I`ve already set the voltage to 1.7v in the bios (the highest it goes without the voltage jumper change or whatnot)

I really don't know what to do. If only I could get it to post.

I've moved to CPU/Overclocking too, but if anyone can help me here.

I would say you have a problem with something, But then again that isn't much help but you shouldn't have to do anything just to run at 133 on this board or 160 at 1:1 memory settings and stock cooling
