Hi all,
Sorry for posting a new topic about this, but I asked in another topic and got no response, and my searching has me going in circles...
My rig:
Asus P5B deluxe, Intel e6400 (L2), 2GB Patriot extreme performance ddr2-800, tuniq tower, Nzxt Apollo case with 3 fans (2 intake, 1 exhaust - all 120mm), x-fi FPS, eVGA 8800GTS...
Anyway, my rig is up and running, stable, at 3.01Ghz (430x7) for several days. It passes 24 hours of Orthos with no errors and has been editing and gaming for days.
Everything is great, there's just one thing that concerns me.. the MB temp. In both Asus PC Probe and Speedfan (I think it is listed as 'system' in speedfan) it shows as 47C ALL the time - on load, idle, everything. I know Probe sets a warning at 45C, and I've seen others with the same system and similar speeds with temps in the 30s... so what could this be? CPU temps are fine, everything is stable, and I see NO fluctuation of the 47C temp... maybe the sensor is bad? Should I be concerned about this? Any input would be a big help... I do NOT have the included fan installed because of what the warning said (about disturbing airflow) - should I try it?
Many thanks.
