Asus P5B Deluxe or eVGA NF67 T1 680i LT motherboard?

I have heard great things about both of these boards. The P5BD is a proven winner and the eVGA uses a newer chipset and has eVGA's great customer service. Can anyone help me decide between these two boards? Also, I was wondering how loud the two stock NB and SB fans are on the 680i LT if anyone has experience with them. Thanks for any help.

The 965P chipset has the advantage in power consumption (to the tune of about 40 watts!) and, consequently, noise and reliability.
The 680LT has SLI, native PATA and more flexible memory options for high-FSB overclocks.

On the other hand, I have run my DVD-RW off the JMicron controller since day 1 and I have never had a single issue with it - in IDE mode, the JMicron looks like a "standard" IDE controller and doesn't require a driver on a floppy.

I would personally go with a 965P-based motherboard, based on the power consumption and compatibility. You may also want to consider the newly-released DFI Infinity 965P-based board, it performs even better than the P5B Deluxe.

I have thought about the DFI P965-S but I need the board soon and it is near impossible to find it in stock anywhere. Newegg and eWiz keep on selling out everytime I check. Thanks for the reply. Does anyone else have an opinion?

I'd say the Asus as well, it's a proven board and I just personally prefer Intel chipsets for Intel processors.

how would you guys compare the DFI Infinity 965P to the eVGA 650i ultra....which would you buy?
Is there FSB limitation on the DFI to 400FSB? Where as in the Anandtech review the eVGA ultra went upto 509 FSB?
Also isn't the ram on the 965P limited to 800Mhz?
Thanks
