anybody home? what's the difference between bios version 0123 vs 0304?
I do not know the difference in the two. I did some reading around the web and most folks getting decent clocks were using the 0304 bios, so I decided to go ahead and updateee. The 0307 bios is buggy according to some things I have read, so I will wait for a better update before I change.
As for where to get the 0304 bios, I posted a link in one of my earlier posts in this thread to the XSForums thread with a bios link imbedded.

As far as motherboards are concerned, I'd wait at least 2~3 months after launch. NO MATTER WHO SAYS WHAT.

Just as a warning to other prospective buyers w/8800GTX video cards, the lower orientation may cause a problem.
I am selling my brand new P5K Deluxe because the first PCI-E x16 slot is too low on the board for my 8800GTX. When I tried to install the video card, the card bumped into the drive cage of my Lian-Li PC60 case. I can't move the HDDs around due to other things in the case.
Word to the wise if you have one of those LONG 8800GTX cards, be sure it'll fit.

Or buy a different case.
I'm enjoying the P5K Deluxe, unlike the days and weeks spent w/ the DS3 rev. 1.0.
My DS3 NB was very hot to the touch running 375, I installed a Panaflow 80mm L1 fan to blow across RAM and NB and it was still hot. I replaced the stock NB with a Thermalright HR5 using a Panaflow 80mm mounted to the bottom and had absolutely no problems with the temps after that.Originally posted by: arcticool

Since you mention the DS3, maybe you could help me out. I'm wondering how the NB heat compares to that of the DS3. On my DS3, even at 9x333 I could only touch the NB for a few seconds w/o burning. Does it seem like these new heat pipe coolers on the P5K boards work well?
Also, I know this is a 'deluxe' thread but I just ordered the 'vanilla' plain P5K from ZZF and wonder how its heat pipe will compare. Any feedback appreciated.

The NB on my P5K deluxe is not even warm to the touch @ 400mhz.
The motherboard temperature under the Asus probe reads @ 34c @ this speed.
I also have a fan blowing over towards the NB but it didn't make much difference.

but some folks having issues with 0311 bios flash with asus windows update... or it could be a SATA raid issue as 0311 improves ACHI feature. I updated my P5K Deluxe using bios ez flash 2 to 0311 with no probs.. testing right now
