ASUS P5N32-E SLI owners

Anyone know if this ram would be safe to get for my mobo? It's not listed in the QVL, but then again, no sticks greater than 1G are. And it's a 4 slot mobo with a max capacity of 8G so.. there you go.

I couldn't find most of the memory modules listed on the QVL for my ASUS either, so I went with the Corsair memory configurator recommendations.

What CPU cooler are you going to be using?

I don't know about that exact motherboard, but I've been reading tons of threads about interference issues with CPU coolers and those "tall" sticks in the closest sockets.

Looks like there's about an inch of space between the edge of the cooler and the nearest ram slot.

I have this board along with several other ASUS motherboards and to be honest I don't know if QVL lists ever get updated like BIOS's do.

Since the max supported memory is 8GB and there are 4 RAM slots you may be better off sticking with 2GB or less DIMM's.

I'm not saying it won't work but just doing the math 4 X 2GB DDR2 DRAM DIMM's may be the limit.

I did the crucial.com memory advisor and it also does not list greater than 2GB size dimm support.

Yeah those sticks I linked are 2GB stick. It's a 4GB kit (so a pair of 2GB sticks). I just wanted to make sure there wouldn't be any compatibility issues. I don't really expect any, but I am paranoid.
