So I went to upgrade my bios using the Asus EZ Flash 2 thing in the bios and everything seemingly went fine it pops up a message saying "reboot in 5 seconds" system turns off, system turns back on but no display, no beeps, nothing. The manual says that it has Asus Diehard bios in it which seems to be 2 bios chips one of which is a backup but it doesnt seem to be booting from it. Is there anything I need to do to get it to work? or do I need to send the board in?

Things I have tried: removed all components but one stick of ram and a video card, tried putting bios file on a cd/usb drive called AMIBOOT.ROM, holding down ctrl-home, reset CMOS, remove CMOS battery.

Any help would be wonderful .

Check your manuel. if there is a way for the board to repair or role back to the original bios it will tell you how to do that there. Your next option is to contact Asus about the issue and see what they can do for you. If the board is outside of the warenty then you won't get any help from them so you either have to find a way to restore the bios or buy a new board.

Use the cmos jumper. With system turned off, move the cmos jumper over one position, then return to original position. If that doesn't work, look for instructions on asus website using their "crashfree bios recovery program". It may be on your motherboard driver cd.

Ok so I am back in business minus one BIOS chip. What I ended up doing:
pulled and switched the chips, booted to a dos cd, pulled the chip out and replaced it with the screwed up one and flashed it while the system was still running. So the system is working again but unfortunately I broke one of the little legs off the backup BIOS chip I wonder if ASUS would sell me another chip?

Thanks for all the help guys

It seems to me that EZ Flash 2 always overwrites the boot block during a flash? It must have gotten messed up somehow I guess.
