How do you like it and how's the overclocking ability on the mobo? Reviews seem to show that it has quite a few options for a relatively budget board.

Hardware Canucks has a review on the P5Q Pro. It's an excellent overclocking motherboard for the price. Lots of BIOS options.

I bought this combo last week. Great motherboard but I got a C0 E8400. Not a huge deal though since it still overclocks to 3.6GHz on stock voltage. I haven't tried higher yet.

How well does the stock cooler work with the E8400? As good as the stock cooler works for the E2x00 series?

Yeah, the best time to buy it would have been yesterday, when they added the $20 MIR and still had it at $265. I almost bought at $265 and no MIR, but waited. Then I really almost bought it once the MIR showed up. Still a good deal and $10 cheaper after the MIR than when it was posted, so I'll bite. They just replaced the $10 instant rebate with a $20 mail in rebate. I don't mind MIRs, but some do.....

:thumbsup: Thanks OP!!! I just joined Anandtech so that I could convey my appreciation for the tip. This was exactly the 2 toys that I was planning to buy. I read your post about 5 minutes after it appeared. My order was placed 10 minutes later, and it was shipped within 2 hours. It arrived today, and yes the E8400 turned out to be an "EO" stepping. This combo, for $265 shipped, was a great deal. Newegg keeps getting better and better. Thank you all.
