ARRRGH. Why is my mobo flacking on me? Sometimes takes a hour to run through bios. Always stops on detecting 4th master, even though there is nothing hooked to it. When it hangs the ide light is full on. Anyone else having this problem?

I see their plan, sell mobo for 200$, turns flacky after a year or so. Then their site is so slow you can never find bios updates, so you have to buy new 200$ mobo!!!!!!!!!!

Why is asus website always at a crawl. I would guess if they cannot run a website I shouldnt buy their stuff!!!:|

hmm... i'm not having a problem with this motherboard. I'm also just running an E6600 at stock too.

you might want to adjust your overclock... your problem might be there... or try it with no overclock to see if you get the same symptoms.

Yea sorry jeep, I havnt changed my sig latly. I an running a q6600 @ stock now. I left it unplugged all day with cmos batt out. I plugged it back in when I got home and started to smell that horrible smell. Took every thing out and a part on the mobo burnt. I will post pics in a few!

that part you have in the pic looks like a voltage regulator. I can't really tell with the numbers on the bottom covered up. ... but if it burned, I'd RMA the board.

I just saw this board at the microcenter in Rockville, MD for $99.99 :Q

Thanx jeep, board is packaged and being mailled this morn. I wonder if this had to do with the incredibly long load times?

Mabye new board will be more stable! I take it you saw that board in store? Nothing online!
