ASUS P8Z68 DELUXE/GEN3 is Intel Hi-K supported

I have been trying to decide on a new MoBo after some reading here my plan is to buy a ASUS P8Z68 DELUXE/GEN3

As far as CPUs I am thinking of a i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz

But reading about it says I need a P67 chip to use it unlocked..
Will the z68 suppout it or am I not understanding this correctly..

Not sure which chip to buy Hi-K or Non Hi-K

Hi-K has nothing to do with the motherboard, that's part of the process used to make CPU chips. Don't worry about it.

If you want to overclock a Sandy Bridge "K" CPU ("K" meaning unlocked multiplier, and having nothing to do with the Hi-K dialectrics used in the mfg of the CPU.), then you need either a P67 or Z68-chipset motherboard.
