As I have ordered the Deluxe and am now evaluating what memory to use (with E6600) I thought I'd post what info I have to date:

Although I found that Kingston and ASUS planned to make the Kingston PC2-8500 DDR2 1066 CL5 SDRAM specifically for the P5B I noted that it is not listed on the QVL (Qualified Vendor List) that is linked to the P5B Deluxe. The question of what is the best memory for this Mobo is still pending.
