I currently own a Dell U2311h which I have picked up a few months ago and the rig in my signature. I think this monitor is the best I've used and currently don't have room for a eyefinity monitor setup but would love to have one in the future at some point.
My question is this. I have grown to love IPS panels because of their color and image tendencies. I however am starting to get sick of the 1920x1080 resolution primarily because I use excel. On top of that, I like to game more casually these days with titles such as DA:O DAII, SCII, WoW, Crysis 2 for the time being and am also waiting on Portal 2.
Futhermore, I wish the Dell had some more inputs where I could stick my Ps3 in as well. Currently I have it connected via DP to my desktop and DVI to my laptop docking station. I want to add in my PS3 but that requires me to use VGA which is meh as you all know.
In lieu of that, I currently am planning on selling my dell to my roomate and picking up an ASus PA246Q or similar model with the full 1920x1200 resolution and multiple inputs. My question is, does this model come plagued with the same issues as the dell u2410? also, does the PS3 scale well on the asus?
Edit: Can the mod change the name of the monitor to pa246q? typo!
