Hey guys,
I lurk on occasion, but rarely post unless I am stumped. I am currently stumped. I recently picked up an brand new ASUS Radeon HD7850 to give my older system a bit of a boost, however, I'm having an odd issue with the card/drivers and my monitor going to sleep.
I have no screensaver active on my machine, instead, I have the power settings set to put my monitor to sleep after 5 minutes of idle time. The issue is, when I move the mouse or hit a key to bring the monitor back out of sleep, the monitor DOES come out of sleep (it's light changes from yellow to green, for example), but the screen stays black no matter what I do until I press Ctrl-Alt-Del which somehow tricks the display into coming back on normally.
I'm running the latest Catalyst Beta drivers, i.e. 13.11 - just updated to the beta drivers from 13.9 yesterday as I was having this same issue on 13.9..
I've done a search and found a lot of people having the same issues with this series of card, but I've found no definite solution yet....anybody have any ideas?
