ASUS Rampage Formula - NB/SB Temps and Auto settings?!?

Guys, I'm a noob at OCing (never done it) and understanding some of the terminology, directions, etc.

So before I mess anything up, I have Rampage Formula on the way after reading the great review (and other info) from this site.

I've also read that the NB/SB temps are hotter than expected or that people are used to...and a suggestion to help remedy the default overvoltage of NB/SB via:

With no less than seven onboard voltage adjustments, the Rampage Formula is a tweaker's dream come true. Because ASUS motherboards do make a habit of "adjusting" some of these values automatically at times, we recommend you manually set all voltages to the bottom of their ranges unless otherwise required. This best practice just makes good sense and ensures nothing receives more voltage than intended by the user. Again, we must also strongly caution against the use of "Loadline Calibration." We recommend you leave this option disabled, especially when installing a 45nm CPU.

Has anyone that owns this board done this? If Im not OCing, can I just go into BIOS and only change the NB setting, for example, to as low as it will go since it cannot hurt anything?

Stock voltage on the NB is 1.25v I believe. I have to run mine at 1.33v otherwise my 8 gigabytes of RAM at DDR1000 will error out. At 1.33v it is 24 hours Memtest and Prime95 stable each. YMMV
