ASUS Sabertooth for X79 - feedback on ASUS & Sabertooth line-up?

Any known issues with this board? It seems to be the best bang for buck feature set for the x79 (socket 2011) chipset, giving me the features I need as well as being well suited for a decent over clock (around 30% from 3.2ghz on the 3930k to around 4.2ghz).

That said, I heard from an employee at the store that ASUS has been hit or miss lately and was having more problems, and that the Sabertooth heatsinks and boards could cause issues and might be best to stay away from this line-up?

wondering about this board as well as if a gigabyte board would be a better alternative for x79? I also thought I read somewhere that ASUS was pretty much the way to go on x79, but perhaps that has changed since that was written (and I can't seem to find it now). Anyway, curious if this is a great choice or if there is better for overall features/quality/reliability.

I had a P67 sabertooth and not the x79. I love these boards because im the kind of person that hates bloat. With these boards you don't get the extra crap that I don't personally need like dual ethernet ports, bt, ect.

Ive never really had bad luck with any other boards but I have piece of mind knowing that this board has top notch components. I haven't overclocked the processor yet (Im testing my RAM overclock for a couple of days before I get to the CPU.) Ram is running at 1866mhz with 8-9-9-24 1T 1.5v and no BSOD.

I have a Sabertooth X79 board with a i7 3930K @ 4.5GHz - no problems - system has been running since November 2011. I haven't heard a peep from the heatsink fans.

I was on the fence between a sabertooth board and the P9X79 Pro. In the end, I went with the Pro and am quite pleased with it.

I have a x58 sabertooth that's been in use since I bought it about a year and a half ago. one of the reason for me buying it was the 5 year warranty asus has on the sabertooth line.

It seems odd to me that ASUS has a 5 year warranty on the Sabertooth, and a 3 year warranty on the Rampage Extreme IV? Why?

If money were not in the picture, would you pick the Sabertooth or the Rampage Extreme IV? My local store messed up my order, so they said they will either give me the Extreme IV at the same price as the Sabertooth, or overnight the Sabertooth to me.

Which one should I choose?
