I need directed to some kinda stable ram for this board... I have some crucial ballistix 1066 and it makes programs close randomly.

Then when I had all 4 sticks of it in it was even worse giving me blue screens.

I am guessing i need a 2gb x 2 set of .... something

Nothing seems stable on this board. I am guessing I cant use anything over a 800fsb ram for one.

Most ram I look at I check the bad comments and everyone with a striker board has problems with the ram.

Does anyone have any ideas on what would let this board run stable with 4gb?

Don't have an answer, but I'd suggest giving details on your Proc, any OC your doing, and OS your running.
guessing you've checked Asus for recommended sticks already?

This ram blue screened the hell out of me been though 3 sets. I want 4 gig of something ... Some people say the board sucks so bad you cant use all 4 slots.... So I was looking for a pair of 2gb sticks that may work.

I don't see any 1066 memory listed in Asus's QVL for memory http://dlsvr03.asus.com/pub/AS...triker_Extreme_QVL.pdf
So that doesn't help. Assuming this board supports 1066 (It's a kick ass board so I'd say so) Even though the site doesn't mention it "Dual-channel DDR2 800/667/533"
Does this review from "5ir 3ntropy" help?

Forgot to mention. From your specs it looks like a nice rig. I've got the same case, and looking at getting some of the same parts. Hope you get it working.

I purchased my Striker back in December, and opted for these Dominators, I also picked up the Corsair fan. There's faster RAM out now, but so far the 8500s have been really good to me. At the price, they're kinda hard to beat if Corsair is still using the Micron ICs.

I recently bought an Asus P5N32-E SLI Plus (same as Striker except southbridge) as a replacement to a faulty Gigabyte P35-DS4. At first I had trouble running my Mushkin 996535 1Gbx2 kit at its specified rating of 5-5-4-12-2T @ 1066 MHz, but then I saw that there are some differences between the blue and white memory slots. Apparently the A1 and B1 slots should be used with 1T memory and A2 and B2 with 2T memory, which is of course the most common setting at higher speeds. I couldn't even get my memory sticks (which use Micron D9 chips) stable at 5-5-5-15-2T in slots A1 + B1, but after switching to slots A2+B2 they are completely stable at the specified 5-5-4-12-2T setting. All other memory subtimings are at "auto". The chips are Nvidia EPP capable so I use the "Nvidia SLI Ready" bios setting at Expert to allow me to set FSB manually. Worth a try, maybe?

See faq topic "Memory overclocking capability on different memory slot"

@TrECeNTeRs,

Off topic but,

The blades on my side panel fan (Tt VA8003SWA) hit the tops of the heatpipes on my Ultra-120 eXtreme mounted on my Striker Extreme. Don't yours?

Not really they don't hit itthe blades ... it keeps the door a lil budged out but not an eye sore plus the latches still latch. nothing hits the blades runs very smooth.

Do you think
