They go back and forth with the costumers for a few weeks, never ship a single card and then vanish. $180,000 is enough to live off out of country for a good couple of years.
Well now it's probably about $700 * 5,000. $3,500,000. Wonder how much these guys will end up with after this scam... If they end up cancelling everyone's it's still tons of free advertising.

I have an invoice that says 6800Ultra. No company would ship a lower end board even if it was a price/description error.
No kidding? You obviously haven't read resellerratings, have you?

Dude...the deal was almost certainly dead to everyone who tried, but you're not going to make many friends when you call about an obvious pricing error. Calling = 100% chance of ruining deal.

Umm did anyone not think this? I mean I assumed the people ordering it were just doing so in the hopes that the place would cut them a deal, like buying the card at their cost instead of retail.

Um, yeah. Like anyone thought this was anything but a pricing error?

And since you're here posting apparently you're not one of those who didn't bother...

Thanks to the OP though.

Or, more likely, he's pissed that a bunch of people ordered the thing, bringing he pricing mistake to their attention.

This sort of deal is great when it happens at 3pm, giving a few orders enough time, with next/second day shipping, to get their orders out the door before management notices.

On a weekend, we can only rely on their sloppiness (that was my take, given their reseller ratings) on a mondy morning not to notice before the warehouse shipped a bunch of cards out.

Most of the RR complaints were for incorrect merchandise, and in some cases, the user got "better" goods than ordered. That's not the sign of a dishonest business, just a poorly handled one.

if you have available credit who cares. Give it a shot its not like you lose anything but the 3 minutes of order time.

Exactly. If it goes through, great. If not, you're out nothing.

Damaged goods, receiving "lesser" goods? No that is totally false and you know it. Assuming they do refund everyone's money, they get big time publicity out of this "accident."

...or lost funds because you used a debit card or hours on the phone with CS reps. I'd rather spend my time & money doing more enlightening things. Like ragging on obvious fraud and the fools who chase their greed! Frustrates me to see so many people make the same mistake.

Hate to say, but he was right!
