I was on the verge of opting for Gigabytes but reading this http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/...4329-12-p35c-ds3r-dead and the link to tweaktown's forum made me pause: apparently DS3R has big design troubles or QC is not as good as I hoped with GB, too many reports of dead DS3Rs for comfort.
Good to know that those with functioning DS3R are very happy and of course you can always have a defective product in any batch of any product but there seems to be too many reports of dead DS3Rs for comfort and out-of-the-box reliabilty is paramount for me, I have not much time to waste
And now I'm back at the starting block: which one? Even Asus seems to have spotty QC not in line with the past reputation...
