For those that have a Microcenter close to you and you are looking at getting an ASUS Z97-WS, you might be able to get one for a great price.
First off, the ASUS Z97-WS is mislabeled on their system. They have it classified as an ASUS Z97 (http://www.microcenter.com/product/433548/Z97_LGA1150_ATX_Intel_Motherboard).
If you check the specs, you can tell that it's the ASUS Z97-WS (it includes a 4-way SLI adapter and the picture also gives it away).
I was able to get them to price match it with Newegg for $279.99 (It's now $286.99, but I would keep an eye on the price). And since I was buying an Intel i7 i4790K CPU, I was able to get them to give me the same bundle discount as the ASUS Z97 Deluxe of $40 even though this board isn't part of a bundle.
The bottom line is that I got the MB for $239.99 plus taxes at the Long Island/Westbury Microcenter location. Since it isn't part of a regular bundle, you need to make sure that you get a good associate that's willing to work for your business.
Based on the current Newegg price, it would be $246.99 which is still a great price for this board. Keep in mind that you would need to purchase one of their bundle CPU at the same time.
A copy of the receipt can be found here.
