Download synaptics drivers & software. I also recommend twofingerscroll, which provides very useful features like two finger tap, left then right tap, swipe for back & forth, etc. Also, two finger scrolling (a la tablets) is incredibly smooth in Chrome and certain other programs.

Remembered that it's not easy to find the latest version:

I have had 2 or 3 occasions in the past year or so where features for both synaptics and twofingerscroll must've interfered and locked out any features. A simple restart of those 2 software solved the problem.

You might want to be careful, Asus switched from Synaptics to Elan for their touchpads.

Good info, I wasn't aware of that. Twofingerscroll was written for Synaptics so it probably won't work.

By the way, Twofingerscroll is excellent for Synaptic touchpads. Not as good as OEM drivers, but it's great for those of us whose OEM decided not to ship decent drivers (*cough* Sony *cough*). Great find you have there, much better than the older one.

For me (I'm using 1.0.9), it's been way smoother and adds more functions. Only issue is lack of horizontal scrolling in two finger scroll mode in a large number of programs. But I'm satisfied with that working in Chrome and PDFs.
