Hi everyone, I am currently torn between the G14 and the M15. These are the specs:

G14:
Ryzen 9 4900HS
GeForce RTX 2060 with Max-Q Design
16GB RAM
120hz refresh rate

M15:
Intel 10th Generation Core i7-10750H
GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q
16GB DDR4 3200Mhz RAM
1TB SSD
15.6" 240hz 1920 x 1080 FHD Display
Thunderbolt 3

Based on a review article I have read, the G14 is more faster in performance overall except in games (the M15 having an RTX 2070 Max-Q)

On my own use-case, the screen refresh rate is irrelevant to me as I don't usually game on the laptop screen and I am just a casual gamer. I am more of VR gamer.

I also noticed that the Ryzen 9 4900HS is faster than my previous laptop's processor which is the i7-8750H.

I really like the G14's Ryzen processor and its design as it is simple, small and light.

What I like about the M15 is the GPU in it.

By the way, I already have the G14 but I am thinking about the M15.

The price of the G14 is a little bit more expensive as the M15 is currently on sale here.

Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 is a gaming laptop with 14 inch display. Its other specifications are it has AMD ryzen 5 4600HS processer with 8 giga bytes of LPDDR4 Ram. It is a best value for money laptop in this segment. Its build quality is one of the finest in its segment. And it gives top notch performance in gaming and other applications also. I used it 3D graphic designing and it worked really smooth even on heavy softwares. It is one of best laptop for content creating because it comes with 72% ntsc and 100% srgb display, which is very good but screen size is little less but it is compact laptop so it's fine. Another advantage is 76wh battery, which can go upto 6-7 hours on normal use, which is really really good.

I picked up an M15 when it was on sale last week at Best Buy. Two things pushed me that route over the G15. 1) The 2070 is just adequate for games right now if you want decent frame rates. For example, AC: Valhalla is around 75fps at medium-high settings at 1080p. This will only get worse as the Turing is EOL and Ampere laptops are launching soon. 2) The reviews felt that something was off with the G14 display. I feel that the M15 has a better panel overall.

As far as cpu, the 10750H is plenty fast enough unless you rely on the cpu for intensive workloads on a regular basis. It’s not slow, just that they AMD chip is extremely fast. I also don’t plan to use it unplugged for more than 4-6 hours which is achievable if not gaming.

I will however being looking at a much higher end Ampere based machine ones those are out.
