Kyle's review is up. His numbers look like the 470= 5850 and 480 = 5870 pretty much but with MUCH higher power draw.

I love Kyle's reviews (/sarcasm). "The cards are just about even in this title..." when one card holds like a 50% frame rate advantage in Max and Avg. frame rates. LOL?

Anandtech's conclusion was that the 480 is about 10-15% faster than the 5870 on average. Availability April 12th.

I just listened to the 480 GTX sound test. Unfortunately it does sound quite loud.

Has anyone listened to the sound test for 480 GTX yet?

Yes. That's the only thing I've done @HardOCP and my goodness.. It's insane. I'm normally not too picky on load power consumption of enthusiast parts, but that's simply not acceptable. And the test was performed on open bench so it's scary to think what'll happen inside a case.

Can go to bed now, nothing at all unexpected from the reviews. 480 is single fastest card by ~10/15&#37;, but for this you pay a price, noise, heat, power and time (6 months late...) premium.

I am slightly disappointed was hoping for more, so that prices accross the board would drop and benefit all consumers. Dont see this happening for a while

Fermi looks better than 5-10&#37;, still not great all things considered, but a much better part than the rumors said. It has to be ~20% faster I'd guess?
