I dont see the price range on this though. The INQ seemed to indicate it would be on the lower end of pricing, but it seems that this board is lacking no features the NF4 ones have.

I cant wait to see DFI's RD580 showing!
But the Assus and the new RD580 chipset looks very promising.

Anyone know when they are out?

As this is the only thing that Im waiting on before buying my new system.

if Asus RD580 is arround $150 - 180 then its hell worth it but if its arround $220ish like ASUS A8N 32-SLI then i can't feel but unhappy as it missing features like a cool Fanless system and 8 Phase Powersupply.

Anyways i am waiting for dFI RD580 motherboard review before i sell my A8N 32-SLI

Looks like a winner.

For those who dislike value boards (A8R-MVP), this appears to have even more goodness for not too much

t's about 80% dearer than the ASUS RD480 board going by the UK price that I've seen - pretty much in line with A8N32

IF it is in the $130-170 range ill probably be getting rid of my a8r-mvp.

We also have to remember to take even AT reviews with a grain of salt though. Though i'm sure Mr. Fink told asus he didn't want any cherry picking this time.

definitely expect the a8r32-mvp to be priced below the a8n32-sli deluxe, which will be asus' premium socket 939 mobo for sometime to come. tentative release date for the a8r32 is around the end of march. the board is already listed on asus' us website except that there's no link to the detail page yet.

Release date for the A8R32-MVP is March 2nd. It will be available for sale on launch day. Many retailers have already received stock but don't list it yet.

My original A8R-MVP turned out not to be cherry at all. I overlooked the fact in my review that the board reset to 2T at the 265 wall and was actually reporting the 325 OC which REQUIRED 2T timings. THAT will NEVER happen again, although I'm sure i will find new mistakes to make. We bought several retail boards and found anyone with the right memory and PS could do 320+ at 2T on the A8R-MVP, but not at 1T.

There are also some technical things going on with the A8R-MVP we were not aware of. We didn't know at the time that Asus had first used their Auto Clock Skew on the A8R-MVP. That's the reason it OC'ed so well, but it's also why it required 2T. The Auto Clock Skew on the A8R32-MVP Deluxe is a much refined and more effective version of this feature. We have even heard rumors that DFI will have an auto clock skew feature on their new RD580.

And you're right. This is a retail, release motherboard and not a pre-production. ATi was originally going to introduce RD580 WITH the R580 (X1900XT) on January 20th. We have heard that Asus had boards ready then when they learned the launch was delayed by ATI until March 2nd.

I won't even poison the well with all DFI issues - but why on earth would you want DFI a second tier board maker when ASUS the top mobo maker gives you a perfect board?

Not me - I'm selling my DFI day I can get A8R32-mvp. It's been a long time since ASUS has been in my box but I think this may be thier best Athlon motherboard going all the way back though skt 462 if you believe the NF4 hard drive corruption issues and broken active armour A8N32-SLI Deluxe is disqualified.

I take it the review was pulled because we haven't reached the official launch date yet?

Eh, they'll put it back up. Asus or ATi must have politely asked them to remove it, or, maybe more info surfaced, requiring an update ....

Wow... £124.99. Poor UK always get's shafted on hardware prices. It's like they think no one will notice that the pound is worth a whole lot more than the US dollar.

Probly. I hate it when they pull crap like that.

You make it sound like they do it all the time. AFAIK AT has only pulled one other article in its history. Xbox360.

Yeah, I got to about page 2 when it stopped loading. Thought it was a bad link, but then reloaded the homepage and it was gone. I was wondering what happened to it.
