Look for a copy of the article, he talks about it more. IIRC different memory at different speeds and timings will perform differently, depending on certain implementations in the chipset. - hence weird compatibility problems and overclocking differences with some memory on some motherboards. Auto Clock Skew is auto adjustment (in the chipset I think) to try to make different memory more compatible and overclockable.
