According to a reviewer they are the shiny silver kind. I've burned a bunch of them with no problems. I prefer the gold dull kind though, I think they look better. just my 2 cents.

I ordered two spindles. From what I can tell they are the same as the bulk packaged in the red wrapper. Two differences: these are on a spindle and they have a writing surface and a Ridata logo printed on them, otherwise they appear to be the same as the bulk.

No clue why they are a couple of bucks less than the bulk media.

I am almost thry my second spindle of 50 and am about to order another spindle. At the rate these things are dropping in price I am not ordering too many at one time.
