At my wits end with my mobo...can someone help?

mobo: DFI TA64-B, P3 1 gig, (2) 256 crucial 133 memory

installing Kazaa lite, computer freezes (WinXP Pro)

restart manually, no bios shows up

after hours replacing ram, video card, goto Frys and get:

new mobo (ECS Pro) w/ new cpu (AMD 2000) new ram (generic 512 stick pc133)

replace them all, get the bios, try to re-install XP on a new hd, computer reboots on its own, no bios again! same problem!

nothing shows up.

try another video card, nothing.

different sticks of ram nothing. even borrow the power source from another computer, nothing.

can anyone help? is my case (Antec) haunted?

So you've had two completely different sorts of motherboards which initially appeared to be fine go completely dead, never to be heard from again. I would seriously worry about your power supply killing the mobos.

hmmm..maybe. but i occasionally get the bios for a few seconds when i mess around w/ the ram and reset the cmos. also, the mobo seems to work (light comes on, cpu is going, etc)

right now i have an antec 300 watt. i can't think of anything else to replace, so i'll goto Frys, replace the mobo and cpu i got yesterday, get a new antec case w/ more powerful cpu and hope that works. i mean at that point it's a whole new computer so how the hell could it not work? ack... thanks
