I should point out since the last time this thread popped up, I switched from the H1 Ladybug to a Spyderco knockoff.
It has CPM steel and it cost half of what the similar Spyderco did.

There is ZERO reason to buy a crappy knock off knife from a company that lies about it's steel, especially since they probably do a crappy heat treat to boot. Spyderco Byrd does a really nice budget line in 8Cr13Mov with good fit and finish and their heat treat is nothing short of magic.

I have an Urban Trapper with dark wood handle sides. Yeah they're very nice and slim.

I have the Microtech Ultratech auto in rotation, for a while now. I don't wear it too often though; with this work from home stuff, I have to admit, I wear PJs more often than not.

Sounds like nutnfancy might be working to release a small run auto with some company. If it's cool and decently priced I might pick it up. Haven't had a new knife in a while.

I think my last one was a Kershaw Launch 4. Holy man does that thing come out fast.

Just ordered a new SwissChamp. Been debating it for over a year now. I broke the pliers in mine while abusing it, and it's just generally worn out. I wore so much plastic off the scales from carrying it in my pocket, the metal logo fell out years ago, add to that the scale cracks, and worn out saws, it seemed about time. My old one still has a lot of good life left though, hence the debate. I've carried this particular knife every day for >25yr, and I've had a Swiss Army knife of some kind >35yr. Love these things. So useful...

Spyderco is using a new steel, LC200N.

its as strong as 154CM (allegedly) and is rust proof like the H1 they love so much.
But their knife selection is limited and all of them are expensive.
