Backyard birding.
My fiancé calls me with a loud "SHHHH... they quail family is in the backyard."
So, these are shot through our rear slider door with a whopping 200mm (my longest) but I thought they turned out ok.
Another owl this morning: a Northern Pygmy Owl bringing food to the nest. This is probably the male. He was calling to the chicks, trying to entice them to leave the nest. I don't know how far along the chicks are but it seems early for them to fledge. Madera Canyon, Santa Rita Mountains, AZ ( a couple hundred yards from where the elf owl pic was taken).
I have this wonderful Nikon Z6 at home and my little m43 Panasonic gets all the glory.
m43 really is a pretty capable system, and these are all shot with the kit lens.
My attempts to take pics of incoming airliners this morning was foiled by low cloud cover but I did catch this guy...He must have liked me as he gave me time to switch to manual focus after seeing my frustration that the autofocus kept selecting the branches in front of him... LOL
