I've never seen the moon this bright at this time of day, and I spend alot of time outdoors. NE Ohio @ around 5PM EST, April 2, 2012.

Pretty good for the above no? I'd love for it to have better contrast, but aperture changes either made it a bright blob or washed out the features of the moon. I'm guessing a white balance change may help... I'll try that next time.
Not bad at all for a handheld shot. Could use some contrast tweaking, white balance seems okay. If you shoot in RAW you can easily tweak white balance later in software. I find taking moon photos during daylight to be more difficult than at night. Makes it look washed out and the heat of the day can mess with image clarity.I've never seen the moon this bright at this time of day, and I spend alot of time outdoors.
