Will a Spec Stage 2 with flywheel work well you think? I'll be honest I haven't seen much in terms of drive train because no one has gone very far except for BTF yet.

Hmm, I haven't used this specific application, and Spec is one of those "hit and miss" companies. That's kinda risky.

What I did with one of my vehicles, is I had the stock one modified. That might be a possibility with your application.

What's a skip shift? Or is it just slang for manual?

Nope, you click your heels together and it shifts.

He probably means skip shift elimination installed.

The GM's skip a few gears on the manuals unless you accelerate hard. Skip shift disables this feature.

400hp/400ft lbs of torque, need I say more?

This one is a 2005, all stock no mods, with 18,500 on the clock.

Skip shift is this kind of annoying thing on the Pontiacs, I don't know if it's all GM's but aparently the Firebird/Trans Am has it along with the GTO. Basically if you accelerate at too slow a rate in first gear and then go to shift to second you use a butt load of gas. I'm not sure why. So they put a sensor in to detect this and when you do this, a little light pops on in the dash that sais skip shift 1-4. Basically they want you to shift from 1st directly into 4th. There's actually a mechanism attached to this either in the tranny or in the shifter assembly that will not allow you to shift into 2nd or 3rd so you're forced to shift to 4th. Or just keep accelerating in 1st until you hit 2500 RPMs and the stupid light goes out and you can shift normally.
It can be annoying, but after driving the car for a while, you learn when that thing engages and you just avoid shifting when it operates. There's an aftermarket device that plugs in to a harness on the tranny that will basically disable the thing. They call it a skip shift eliminator.

1983 Harley Davidson XLS
...my pride and joy. This motorcycle belonged to my father, who died when I was three years old. The bike sat in a barn for almost fifteen years, then my mother said I could have it, so I have been slowly resto-modding it since. I've completely rebuilt the motor and hope to paint it next year. Only 1616 of these were made in 1983. I assume about half of those are still roadworthy. I've never seen one with my color combo.

Mods:
- KB slant-dome pistons .010 over
- S&S carb and intake kit, stock jetting
- Cycle Shack 1.75" drag pipes
- Mustang wide vintage seat (very comfy)

Pic of the bike

...Everything on the bike still works perfectly, it runs hard and doesn't leak. It's my daily driver in the summer and I intend to keep it that way for quite some time.

The jeep is for sale BTW. $4500 takes it in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Why don't you have cats? Pollution is a BAD THING. You aren't a true Jeeper if you intentionally harm the environment.

1970 Chrysler New Yorker
- First Car
- 7.2L 440Ci V8, 4-speed auto, factory exhaust (to be replaced).
- 127,000 miles.
- RWD, I don't know all the specifics on it.
- Factory fabric seats & interior.
- Factory AM Radio w/ Dash speaker .
- Rear heater fan, no AC. Power windows, manual locks.
- 14(?)" Wheels & tires.
- 8 mpg is the last-known estimate since it was a daily driver. 25 gallon tank. A few mpg can and will be gained with the list of upgrades and replacements that it will be receiving.

Like I said, there are a list of upgrades and replacements totaling about $1000 if not slightly more. It was mainly a garage car so rust is minimal, only on the bottom of the car and some around the quarter panels and wheel wells. Otherwise still in serviceable condition.

One went bad and started throwing codes so they were sawed off in favor of a free-flowing exhaust system that nets me better fuel mileage. Having a dead cat is just as bad as not having it at all.

Hmm I thought Isuzu folded in the U.S.?

I bought one of the last ones available in the state

Well I tried to get my Isuzu serviced and even Honda didn't want to look at it (same car as the Passport). Are you sure that was such a good idea?
