No thanks, it's hard enough keeping gas in this at $6.50 a gallon for race fuel.

I'm in love with your car

Thanks, it's quite a project. I bought it in 82 and since then it has had many combinations of engines, paint, wheels and so forth. I kind of like this one.

Hmm I thought Isuzu folded in the U.S.?

I bought one of the last ones available in the state

Well I tried to get my Isuzu serviced and even Honda didn't want to look at it (same car as the Passport). Are you sure that was such a good idea?

Ya, im told that most if not all of the Isuzu dealers will no longer sell the vehicles, but they will still keep their service departments open. The dealership where i bought it is a large multi-brand dealership, so i am not too worried about losing service.

Also, the truck i purchased has the identical (made/assembled in same factory) engine to the Chevy Colorado. As a last resort I can always take it to a Chevy dealer. (which the lot I bought it at has)

I have a clay bar, a can of wax, and some accessories I'll have to add this weekend.

Then I'll post some pics.

2006 Mazda Mazda6 s 5-door
3.0L V6
5 speed manual
black/black
stock 18's
everything but nav. (love the HID's)
my first/only brand new car
sadly, my wife took this when I got married last year.
55k miles (my commute was 60 miles round trip when I bought the car)
24 mpg average. Best was 31 mpg on a trip. It could use an extra overdrive. Engine is turning at over 3000 RPM at 70 mph.

1997 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD
extended cab / short bed
360 cubic inches of gas guzzling, stump pulling power
75k miles
Was and now again my DD. I bought the truck in 2002 with 19k on it. She got parked when gas started skyrocketing. I actually made back half of my Mazda payment in gas savings. Back on the road when I got married.
10 mpg city / 13 average. Best was 18 mpg on a trip, but that only happens at the speed limit. Anything over 65 and it starts dropping fast.

2006 Yamaha V-Star 1100 Custom - poor man's Harley
Air cooled V-twin
PCS "Chip" chopper seat when going solo
Mustang wide touring seat w/ sissy bar when 2 up
homemade forward controls
Stock pipes with baffles removed
6500 miles
40-50 mpg depending on how much I'm in the throttle.
I have a jet kit w/ pods waiting to go on. Still need to pick a set of pipes. Also want some luggage and a windshield so the wife and I can go on some weekend trips.

One went bad and started throwing codes so they were sawed off in favor of a free-flowing exhaust system that nets me better fuel mileage. Having a dead cat is just as bad as not having it at all.

Both are illegal

Incorrect.

Removing an operational catalytic converter is illegal (violation of EPA regulations). It is not illegal to continue driving a car with a dead converter.

It is also worth noting that most cars will still handily pass tailpipe emissions testing even without the catalytic converter being present. For example, a number of people (myself not among them) with 951s have removed their catalytic converters. These cars all still pass local emissions testing even without the cat.
