I wonder if this could be combined with the $75 off being offered by AT&T @ Home w/the purchase of a $30 "Welcome" kit at Circuit City.

Glottis, I haven't used one of these myself -- I have the Toshiba -- but a friend of mine got one of these when she signed up for @Home, and says they're fine. (I *have* heard that they have a lower max bandwidth cap vs. the Toshiba however.)

I just checked the website referred to in the link, and it appears the offer is only for certain areas? N. & S. Cali, New Hampshire and Pittsburgh, PA.

Well, thanks for the info. Looks like I'm not eligible for this one (area) or the Motorola (the one I really wanted - because of not being on their crappy list). Oh well, went with the 3Com instead, and everything appeared to go through fine. /me crosses fingers...

Recommend you ignore this info. Seems apples and oranges - something twisted. Also, as download caps are 1.5 - 2 Mbps, really wouldn't make any difference, even if it were true and worthy of note.

I just received the 3Com® HomeConnect? last week. I was very concerned that 3Com has just announced discontinuing cable modem manufacture. But now I don't give that much thought. *AND* I am extremely happy to finally officially determine that the hardware has a *5* year warranty, 3 years longer than either Motorola (GI) or RCA (Thompson).

All of the AT&amp;T deals are good for @home subscribers too. Link for RCA @home.

Has anyone successfully ordered an RCA modem though? If so, how about posting a telephone number. Also, which model is being offered; is it the 225 or the 235?

UPDATE: AT&amp;T says that there is a problem with the RCA website and to use the &quot;Contact Us&quot; on the main RCA page to get through.
