To appease the people who aren't so happy that all the Android devices and are going to the other carriers!

It seems AT&T just announced they'll get some webOS device also (4 minutes ago)

Here's to hoping the HTC Bravo comes to AT&T. That would be a seriously kickass device. Sense on Nexus One?

I am sick and tired of waiting out of contract.

Well remember, the Droid is probably gonna get outclassed real soon. A lot of 1ghz snapdragon phones on the way. Plus, if you keep waiting, you'll never get a phone... well I shouldn't be talking because I've been waiting forever ><

That's the exact problem I have. I want: Snapdragon + Android + Keyboard. I was just about to settle for the Droid, but we'll see now...:whiste:

I'm sorely tempted to try swapping my Tilt 2 for it. The way it drops calls in my house drives me insane (the iPhone doesn't have this problem, either!).

Really? The Tilt 2 drops calls more than the iPhone? Meh. I thought it was mainly a network issue rather than a phone issue?

Was that way for me. ATT had an annoying tendency of dropping phone calls. Hasn't happened yet on Verizon for me. Although now every time I hear silence on the other end I get that sinking feeling in my stomach of yet another dropped call, but it turns out just to be a dead moment. ^_^

I'm glad WebOS going to get more exposure. It's arguably the best OS out there. Bests iPhone OS in many areas. They just need some better hardware.

Lol, no. But it is annoying to drop a call when you've already gone through an automated area or talking to someone who is unlikely to call you back.

In my particular situation with the Tilt 2, I will drop an incoming call EVERY TIME if the front door is closed. With it open, I get about 70/30 received/dropped. The Micro Cell will fix this, but damn them for delaying it over and over.

They're probably the same ones that are going on Verizon. The "Plus" versions just with GSM. I'd rather them make whole new phones cus the Pre was great but the keyboard sucked and hardware is flimsy and the Pixi is dumbed down with a tiny screen.

Well cus of iPhone sales dropping off they now need some fresh phones out there. Once the iPhone refresh comes yet again it'll bring in some more but AT&T hasn't upgraded their network or anything cus they have relied solely on the iPhone for revenue.

i agree 100&#37;. I love my pre because of the os, but the build quality has to be brought up a notch. I had 1 defective functionally hardware related, currently my 2nd one has a stress crack from the usb port to the screen. The other day i hit the middle button and the right bottom of the screen cracked. After going crazy calling back and forth to sprint and palm since last week, today i filed an insurance claim. Sucks, but i want a functioning phone.

exactly what i came in here to say. i wonder if palm will announce anything new at their keynote tomorrow...i would love to palm sell their phones like google does with the nexus one - unlocked/contract free, and then a list with locked and/or cdma phones with at&t, verizon, and sprint.

As much as I am liking Android, I was really impressed with webOS. It's so well thought out. Hopefully Palm can make some better devices.
webOS seemed to find it's maturity level almost instantly.

Same here. Been out of contract since late October.
Will give at&t/android 1 more month.
Then it's apple for me.

They already have GSM versions of the Pre in the UK I thought? Those are probably the ones AT&T will get.
