Just called AT&T, but the CSR saids this offer is only available to customers who is with AT&T for more than 4 months. Since I started my plan in Nov, I can't do it until end of this month. So he asked me to call back at that time. However, he mentioned that even if I get the free roaming option, my unlimited n/w will not carry over and he can only give me 1000 min.

I guess I will call again and see if the next CSR will give it to me. For ppl who got this deal, how did you explain to the CSR to get the free roaming, 200min, and the unlimited n/w?

I just told them exactly what I wanted (thanks to StaplesSucks)... and they gave it to me... but I've also been with ATT for 3 years so that might have made a difference as well...

I told them basically what I wanted at first.
Lady came up with
200 mins
no roaming
1000 nights and weekends
and mr.xxx, because you will only have 1000 nights and weekend minutes we can throw in 200+100 additonal peak minutes.

Said that wouldnt work....she put me on hold for a few more minutes.....and said she could hook me up with the great plan.

I've been on att for about 5 months now. If the bimbo that picks up wont do it...call back!

It is DEFINATELY possable!!

ok, FIrst of all I wanna thank StaplesSuX for excellent thread.. I finally jumped on it also..
I am in NorthEast NJ, been with ATT for 6 years..
Had 400 minutes, free nights and weekends, free national LD and extra 15% (460 minutes instead of 400)..
So asked them about this regional, so now I got:

200 any time + 200 any time for a year
free nights and weekends carried over and now I am pretty sure it is totally free across USA..
and the dude added NO ROAMING for 1 year also (not showing up on my web account though)...
15 percent more minutes carried over (National Corporate account)
Now if someone could tell me how to get another 100 minutes out of this, this would be great.

Just called, here's my story (been with AT&T 3 years, contract expired 2 years ago):

Told the rep we have two AT&T cell phones and asked what the current plans were. He informed me that I had:

Phone 1 - 400 anytime minutes, regional roaming, no nights/weekends minutes - $59.95/mo
Phone 2 - 120 anytime minutes (additional 280 anytime minutes just expired this month), regional roaming, no nights/weekends minutes - $29.95/mo

I told him that AT&T was having a promotion which offers 400 anytime minutes, nationwide roaming, free nights/weekends minutes and I wanted that package on both phones. He replied that he could give me that but it would be an additional $4.95 for the unlimited nights/weekends. I asked him to go into our account history to find how much we use the nights/weekends. He replied that the computer was unavailable for the next couple hours. I told him to make a note of our coversation and I'll call back later.

I'm happy, but not happy enough. I want the unlimited nights/weekends and won't settle for anything less. I'll be calling back soon. BTW, no mention of a contract.

Thanks to Staplessucks for the info.

I called them three times trying to get this deal,

first time, CSR said that I don't qualify because I am only an AT&tCustomer for 3 months, I need to be with them for at least 4 months to get this deal, plus, I will only get 1000 min n/w not unlimited.

second time, CSR said that I can get the regional plan with 200 min + free nationwide roaming promotion, and they do have the additional 200min promotion, but it cannot be combined, plus, I will have to give up my unlimited n/w and can get 3000 n/w min (current promotion).

third time, CSR told me that the free nationwide promotion expired a month ago and my previous CSR probably just didn't know that it already expired, he can give me the 200+200min anytime, carry over the unlimited n/w, but I can't get free nationwide roaming. Then, I complaint that the csr told me it's still valid like an hour ago. He checked and checked, told me that he can't do it, but he offer to give me a $10 discount on my current plan.

Since I had the 600 digital advantage before, my plan now (if this discount that the CSR offered is true), then I am paying 39.99 for 600 anytime, unlimited n/w, free roaming in CA, AZ,NV, HI. I guess it's better than nothing. I am not gonna try again, it's too much trouble, and it seems like the CSR can just say whatever they want and if you are lucky, you can get a good deal.

OK, I called back (didn't want to wait for their computers to come back up) and talked to a very thick headed rep. He played dumb (maybe not playing) and I asked to talk to a supervisor/manager. He transferred me to a rep in the Prepay dept (he couldn't even transfer the call properly) but she said that she would try to help me. I told her what I was looking for and it took awhile, but she finally found it. When you talk to the reps, make sure that they know that it's Regional Advantage 200 plus 200 bonus minutes. Don't ask for "the plan with 400 anytime minutes", they'll never find it. When she finally went to change over the accounts, she said the computer won't let her do it because I was under an existing contract. I told her that I absolutely was not under a contract and specifically made sure that I never agreed to one whenever I made a change to my plans in the last 2 years. She said, "whoops, your right" (that was a little weird). She then put the new plans through.

I coudn't get unlimited nights/weekends probably because I didn't have it to begin with, but I did get 3000 minutes which is totally fine. We won't even scratch the surface of that. Anyway, here's what I ended up with:

400 anytime minutes
nationwide roaming
3000 nights/weekends
free long distance

for 12 months, for both phones, no contracts. Awesome deal, thanks again.

Couple ???'s --

First, why is it called Regional Advantage if you can effectively use it anywhere in the U.S. with no additional fees? Then it's no longer Regional.

Second, how does ATT give you access to the Web from your phone? Can you only access certain sites? none? any? Do they just bill you by subtracting the minutes from your plan, or do they charge you extra for it?

It is called regional becuase in 365 days you would loose your free nationwide roaming..
ATT offers web access on Ericsson 280 phone and I think Mitsubishi.. check www.attws.com for more info..
And u can access pretty much any site, but the features are very limited.. and no graphics
And BASIC Internet access is FREE.. There are plans with more business features , which u do pay for..

For the next year, this plan is extrememly hard to beat!
I'm sure you could work with them next year and try to get them to extend it if theres nothing better!

What I have is equivilant to the $50 network advantage, except it doesnt matter where the heII I am, I wont get roaming even if i'm not on the att network!
It's a BETTER plan, and it's 10 bucks less!

The only thing they have that even comes close is the Digital One Rate for $69.99 with 450 anytime/anywhere minutes. Too bad there are no nights and weekends with this!

Glad to see those of you who are currently on ATT get hooked up with this awesomd deal!

Local calling/long distance/roaming anywhere?

I get free long distance from my home area, but not roaming. Good for me, because I don't travel much.

Score!!..kinda anyway. I've been on the $29.99 Regional plan with 120anytime/1000n&w since last August. I attempted to call and get just the free nationwide roaming added on, but I tried twice and it was a no go. The third time the rep said that it was only available on the $39.99 plan. I thought to myself that if I did go ahead and get that plan, then I would try to get everything I could get. So I said, ok can I get that plan along with the 200 additional anytime minutes. She said she'll check to see if its available. She comes back and says that she can get me nationwide roaming and the 400 anytime minutes, but I can't have any n&w minutes. In addition, I would have to reextend my contract for a year from today. I thought to myslef, bullsh*t. So I tell her that I really need the n&w minutes and I would do change plans and extend my contract if she could get them for me, and she says she'll check. She comes back and says, ok I can get you the n&w minutes but only 1000. So I ask her for 3000 minutes, and she says no. Anyway, at this point I thought I had a pretty decent deal, so I went ahead and changed plans. So now I had:

400 Anytime minutes
1000 N&W
Free nationwide roaming
Free nationwide long distance

I still wanted to try and get 3000 or unlimited N&W, so I call back and talk to another guy, wanting to confirm my account changes. He confirms everything and I said that I though I got more n&w minutes on the $39.99 plan. He says, usually yes you can get unlimited, but since I have nationwide roaming, I can only get 1000. He said that if I removed nationwide roaming I could get unlimited n&w. I dont want to do this, so I said no, and he told me there was no way to increas my n&w minutes at the same price. Do you guys think I should keep trying for n&w minutes? Anyone else have any advice. Oh yeah, the guy also told me that some of their computers were down so I had to repeat my last 4 SS #'s even though I had already typed them in.

Might I ask how you got this? This sounds great to me. Right now I have 400peak, 1000 mobile to mobile, and 2000 Night and Weekend, but your plan tops that. They are the same price too. Please let me know what you ask/they told you.

I just called up ATT, I upgraded to the Local Digital $39.99 plan, the one with 400 base mins (don't need roaming)
+60 mins (couldn't get the 100 extra minutes, she went to talk with manager, but I suppose this isn't bad either)
+200 mins
Unlimited NIghts & weekends, doesn't expire.

had to sign up for an additional year, but that's ok since changing numbers is a b*tch and I probably won't change anyway
