Anyway its down right now again.

Please LMK about the stats..i hate moving to other servers, but thats a problem ;(

Its just weird because the last few months there were no problems at all

Agreed. I put in $10. I would reccomend anyone that has the $4 bux to donate. Think about what he's offering you, and never asked anything in return.

Only changes that I have made recently was to add a email address.

Is this a safe/good thing for a personal blog with my own domain?
I just get creeped out by free things.......for some reason. Especially web hosting.
I keep looking for cheap hosting (10-20$) a year, and people keep telling me to just go with free web hosting. I guess its 5$ a month, or 0$ a month, or something....

his hosting is outstanding.

The closest good free hosting is www.freehostia.com - but there are things like limited filesizes etc.

If you want a blog, i'd say freehostia is good. (At least for me because of features like PHP etc.etc...you might not need them),

Btw. what about yourblogname.blogspot.com ? I like blogspot (blogger.com) because its easy to set up...and you get a SEMI domain like WHATEVER.blogspot.com - all for free.

Same here but I don't mind, when it happens it usually isn't for too long.

BTW, need advice, I emailed Dart like a week ago, asking him a question, and he told me to email him again w/ the info, and I have, and still have no reply after a week. Should I email him again? I'm sure he is very busy but I hope he didn't forget bout mine (not that mine was higher priority than others)

Mine is down too. This is unusual but I am sure it has nothing to do with him asking for donations.

Give him the benefit of the doubt. He has always come through before.

I am still at 99% uptime here.

i'm fvcked. today is the only one day i really needed my site up over the two years that i have had this service. i have $25k at stake. guess the saying "u get what u pay for" really holds firm once again.

to b honest i can't fault dartworth at all. he has been more than responsive and has really maintained a great quality for a free service (down time was non-existent). if u find he isnt responding to u at this time it is probably cause he is trying to grapple with this down-time issue. if u read in the previous posts some posters have stated that it is probably their sites that are causing the servers to go down. fvckers.

i donated recently and am still willing to donate again if the need arises.

I mean i am low budget there....but i have adwords running and i pay for clicks and the site is down ;(

To the people who think its their site: Please consider moving your sites somewhere else.

I wouldnt say that because there is/was a SLIGHT change that my sites also cause heavy load...but then i had no problems running with ATOT for some time now....its just the last...2 weeks we have problem. So there is a chance its one of the sites which was added recently or some scripts running. If you really suspect your sites causing all that problems please deactive em at least TEMPORARILY or move em to check whether things get better !

I hate moving my sites to somewhere else but i am close since every longer period of down is lost money ;(
