Well thank god you finally let me know that. This is the first I've heard of it.
My complaint never was that you couldn't help me restore the data. My complaint was that I didn't get any communication from you. I spent a month asking for updates in December, sending you trouble tickets, emails and PMs with no reply. I sent you three different email addresses and my cell phone number asking you to get back to me.
You (finally) said that you had sent an email and I asked you to resend it. I never got it. I asked you to send it to me on AnandTech. I still never got it. I had no idea what was going on. You said "I'll ask my admins in the morning, but I don't know if we'd be able to make something like that happen" which was the clearest thing I ever got from you. I then spent another month asking you if you had asked your admins
and to get back to me. You never did.
I did everything I could think of to get a response from you. I asked nicely. I gave you alternate contact info. I begged. I demanded. I insulted you. Nothing worked. I finally gave you an ultimatum. "Please send a response both to my account here [on AT] and to my email account" or I'd cancel my account.
I heard not even a peep from you. I got nothing except an email from paypal.
My complaint lies 100% with your customer service. Two moths ago you could have said to me "sorry but we can't help you with that" and I would have been a happy camper. Instead I'm now an angry ex-customer. And don't tell me you sent me emails. I made it very clear to you (on more than one occasion) that I wasn't getting those emails and gave you alternate contact info as well as asking you to send it through AnandTech PMs as well. You flat out ignored me for two months and this is the end result of that.
