At what age did you stop wearing sneakers with jeans?

I've worn Afghani slipper socks with a tuxedo,

and silk pajama bottoms as regular pants.

Now, there are times and places to conform to decorum, and I do, but, otherwise, people who are slaves to other people's fashion rules are drones who can't think for themselves

Some people have told me in the past I'm one of those people who does his own thing fashion-wise, but in reality I have no sense of style or taste in clothing. I mean NONE. When I need stuff for work I am the guy who goes into Macy's and says "I need X dress shirts and Y dress pants" and generally buy whatever the guy says looks OK. Outside of work it's tshirts and jeans and sneakers because I have learned that garners no comments. My aim is to wear something that nobody notices, as that's how I know it's not strange.

I don't even understand the fashion rules well enough to be a slave!

I wear Onitsuka Tigers with jeans and a casual button-down shirt for work (usually). So no, I haven't stopped wearing them yet (I'm 24).

I love boots. I would wear Timberlands year round if I could... Unfortunately, there is actually a summer season in parts of Canada and they become too damn hot to wear.

I probably won't change it up for a long time. There's no reason to. When I go out, maybe I'll wear something different. But, going to work and just doing my thing? Sneakers and jeans. Or, sneakers and shorts.

Frequently, I ride a bicycle and I need the grip on those shoes. I'll just ruin Allen Edmonds with that.

I've never worn sneakers with jeans... I'm not a huge fashion person, but always thought a nice pair of sandals or shoes looked alot better than sneakers, and you always see old people (50-60+) wearing stuff like that. I think I've only owned one pair of sneakers over the last ten years; since the only time I wear them is when I'm riding my bike, and I more often hike in sandals or boots (Keen/Merrell).

A good pair of boots are where it's at. Boots during fall/winter, sandals or light sneakers, maybe sandals/slip ons during summer/spring. I wear New Balance MW01's mostly.
