At what age should you retire hoodies?

What age should you stop wearing hoodies? I am 31 and still wear them because they are comfortable and easy to care for but I sometimes feel that I am too old for them and maybe I should buy a real jacket.

Depends. I think a well fitting zip hoodie is passable at any age, but a loose fitting pull over one is different. I'm 24 btw and have been wondering if I should retire my hoodies.

i still wear mine in the mornings to wakl the dog. comfy and practical.

just don't wear them with the hood on and a pair of aviators...itll give off a very Kaczynski-like vibe

I'm 29 and wear them to work almost every day during the winter.

Other people in dress shirts, some polos, some t-shirts.

Wear what you like, as long as it's clean and neat and you don't look like a hobo.

It's never too old to stop wearing them.

I never liked normal sweaters that much as you can't simply unzip them to cool off a bit plus if it's windy or cold you can toss the hood up and hide your arms in the pockets if you forgot to bring a coat.

My wife bought me my first hoodie at 31. I only really wear it at home. Even if I wore it outside the hood seems a bit pointless as it is so easily blown off or saturated with water (I would guess).

You've got a point there I hadn't really thought about it a great deal, I'm not the sort of person to go out wearing a black hoodie with an enormous Batman symbol on it

If that's different or the same as a "hoodie" I have no idea.

I have some but I never regularly wore them, and I think I had it outside only once since I was 20. But I think, as long as it looks good at you, you dont need to be concerned about age.
