At what point do you become too sick for work?

if it's just a matter of the sniffles and I don't want to spread it around the office or am feeling under the weather, I can work from home.

Same. I'm a software developer so if I'm staring blankly at the screen for minutes at a time because I can't concentrate then there's no point in trying to work.

When I'm more of a distraction than a benefit to my employer/coworkers. So if I'm sniffling, coughing, puking ect. uncontrollably or just a hot mess of misery I'm staying home.

90% of the time it's allergies.

Depends on if you are payed salary or hourly wage. If you are payed salary, and have either sick time, or the ability to work from home then why torture yourself?

if work a bunch of 10-12's in a row including going in on the weekends for some emergency BS so that I get so tired I cant even play a game at night when I get home

I take the day off, sleep late, and play a couple hours of games

once I am caught up from the emergency

When it would be impossible for me to perform my duties. I have to deal with customers, so anything that has me going to the bathroom often, kills my ability to concentrate, or is highly communicable would render me useless for work purposes.

When it becomes a safety issue. We work independently for the most part so spreading it isn't to much of a concern. When it affects my strength to where I feel I can't fight off a thug I stay at the house.
