The only quest that are gone now for the coming expansion are the troll/gnomer ones. All the elemental stuff is still there or waiting to be started.

Elemental Invasion Part 4 - We're under attack!
Things are getting serious and elementals are attacking capital cities!


Elemental Invasions
Guards will try to evacuate citizens, low level players can also use portals to leave the city before the attack.
You first have to deploy sandbags/barricades to help defending the city.
You will then have to defeat the elementals in all the districts of the city, Orgrimmar is damaged badly in the process and most of the buildings are on fire.


Bosses
After successfully defending the cities, you will get a chance to counter attack by entering the huge portal in capital cities (or using the LFD tool) to fight mini-bosses in 4 different instances.
The 4 bosses are Grand Ambassador Flamelash in BRD, Crown Princess Theradras in Maraudon, Kai'ju Gahz'rilla in Zul'Farrak and Prince Sarsarun in AQ20.
The bosses only appear at the end of the elemental invasion after you succesfully defended the city, you cannot queue for them all the time.

List is now up on MMO-Champion. Seems like some decent 251 loot if you can get it. Nice little gear up for alts and other characters that you might think of leveling up later and do not want to farm for justice points.

got the agil+stam cloak on the pally. seems the dungeons don't stay open from event to event as all four just closed and no sign of next ones starting.

done so many and see the same 2 drops all the time. I've done 20-30 instances and seen only the melee neck and caster boots. just need the tank chest

did all four bosses on my main just for the fun of it cause I don't need any of the drops. The defense of the city is crazy and chaotic but very fun if there are a lot of people doing it. a good run up event, better than the WotLK run up IMO

Phase 3 on Sindragosa is the hardest one by far... the other phases are pretty easy, but that one will wipe you the most. The most common deaths I've seen are people getting tombed because someone didn't move (quick enough) or the tank dies.

yup we ran into a bit of that people in the wrong position and all. I though 12% for a first time seeing that fight was not to shabby and I'm pretty sure we get it next raid

What ever will the griefers do ? Crossroads and Southshore will also be going away in Cata..... not a good expansion for those board kids that like to kill low level NPC quest givers.

That change isn't for griefers. Seems the gold farmers have low level bots set up around a lowbie graveyard and just continually farm each other and turn the honor into gems.

For me? Mains come first, moreso since my current guild has aggressive plans for Progression. So we're tasked with getting leveled, getting geared, and getting going. (I'll be on vacation for 2 weeks starting the 6th) There's still a bit of debate as to which people/toons/roles we'll be asked to prioritize. But if recent raids are an indication my ProtWarrior will resume it's place as my Main, with either my Warlock or DK (Tank #2) second in line.

Alts~wise: I am considering a race change to Worgen for my Deathknight, since that'll be the best racial compliment for a DK on Alliance. Or maybe even my Warrior - it'll depend a lot on whether I like the fighting animations. Won't be rolling another toon on my current server, since I would have to delete existing alts to do it.

I've only got 2 low level chars, the 30 priest and rogue. As I said before, unless I'll permanantly be losing out on somethingn will probably change the rogue to a goblin.


And from what I've heard, don't be planning on spending serious time leveling. Expactation is that all the class realm first will be dung. Not much more than 12 hours after the release.

I'll be getting my Paladin to 85 first probably then make a Worgan Druid. I also have an 80 Fury Warrior but I really don't care for the warrior Tier 11 set so he can wait lol.

Why a Worgen for DKs? I still use a Human and I kinda like it for nerdlore reasons (the pre-Arthas DKs were created from dead Human bodies... i.e. Teron Gorefiend).

Gah! I was able to squeeze in 5 runs before the portals came down. Suprised it wasn't one run per dungeon per day. Not a single caster item dropped. That fight in Stormwind was awesome! Ported in to SW from Dal, ran to the town square, turned the corner and there was about half the Alliance realm population sitting there (rest were in IF). Most sitting on their Mammoth mounts. lol. Framerates tanked to around 12-15fps!! Shocked that the fight went pretty smooth with no lag.

Goblin Warrior. Only have 1 spot left, and only have left a warrior or a lock. I think I'd prefer to play a warrior.

Get my Druid up to 85, then my prot pal...those are my only two characters so I'll probably make a goblin shaman with all the heirloom items I have from badges.

I got in as many instance runs as I could after teh invasion, until I got that annoying "You've entered to many instances recently" message.
