Wow, leveling is ridiculously fast with the amount of EXP you get per quest. For 36-37, I need 47,000 EXP and quests are giving me around 5k EXP each .

I've played level 36 for 17 minutes and I'm almost 37 .

WoW security, without an authenticator, is a complete joke. This is due to the policy that blizzard has in pace that allows unlimited sign in attempts for an account without a lock out, while using your e-mail address as your sign in name.

All someone needs to do to get into your account is know your- e-mail address and know you play WoW. At this point a five year old with a brute force program can get into your WoW account.

If you post on a forum like this (A WoW forum) and allow your e-mail address to be shown it’s only a matter of time before your WoW account is hacked. Without an authenticator It’s not a matter of “IF” it’s a matter of “When.”

Get an authenticator… Someone in our guild who NEVER bought gold or went to sketchy WoW sites got hacked prior to getting an authenticator. After a short investigation, Blizzard restored his account and all the items he lost as well as all the items that were taken from our guild bank. Everyone in our guild has authenticators now.

oh, I know I got hacked in Aug, idk how so I changed my email on the account to another one that no one knows about, and my password. As well as added an authenticator.

I got an email of someone resetting the password to an account linked to my original wow email. It was some trial account apparently. So I have no idea how they got my password again. since they went into my email to click on the verification email.

My password has random numbers and letters. I am not so sure how bruttforce would work. But in no way does it have dictionary words. I would assume it would take a bit of time to crack my password. A running theory I have is that some forum I use the same password on could of gotten compromised.

My account has an authenticator so it should be safe now.

yep.

did blasted and no doing sith on the hunter. blasted had a lot of changes, seems you can no longer make those consumable items. as far as the insect zone, seems they took out the armor items quest, which wa a shame cause you could actually buy most of those items on the AH for dirt cheap. also seems the for duty quest have all been nuked, not like anyone does those anymore.

This char was about 3/4 through the link chain, shame the quest got nuked from his log as unless they really shortened the running don't feel like going back just yet for it.

Another really odd thing, I had picked up one a start quest item that I was supposed to return to the now defunct bloodvenom...if I go there I still get the quest receiver question mark on the minimap, but there is no one there to return it to. Went and did the quest to deslime the place thinking it may be phased till you do so, but that didn't seem to change anything for him.

^ are you guys talking about post-4.0 patch? I leveled my latest before that and was able to skip both blasted and silithus completely.

you could always skip, especially if you maxed rested XP, but if you don't skip then you hit 80 that much earlier with that many more zones left undone and those can be gold mines if you have time ingame and don't want to do anything else; not to mention when playing this way you will be doing almost entirely green quest which makes them go that much quicker particularly for those in bc & nr that still have elites as kill targets.

Yeah, I was playing around in the new WPL to see what it was like. I heard a few quests around Azeroth are broken though... like Battle for Darrowshire (which is also no longer a group quest).

I did a few dungeons and I like the way they hand out quests. Although, I did end up leaving Uldaman without realizing you turn the Norgannon Discs in to the guy in the front :\. You used to turn them in at Ironforge, so I went back there!

Is it me or do you get some low FPS as soon as you leave teldrassil to rut'theran village?

Either all the groups I'm in have terrible people or Paladins are really freaking OP at lower levels. I'm leaning toward the prior, since I'm the only person in groups that ever beats the tank, which has to be a bad thing .

I usually tank for leveling and I notice that my dps is always higher than the actual "dps".

So that just means I am super OP .

I've been working on a tank set so I can start tanking, but the problem is... DPS is kinda nice since the wait time is around 12 minutes. So you just queue and keep questing until it pops up.

Leveling 70-80 is insane now too since the experience reduction was put in, helping a buddy of mine who has 70 warrior and just random dungeon ques in 2 nights got him 4 levels...

I haven't been able to play for more than a coupke hours a day since wednesday, but with the new old world quest xp and hitting outlands, I haven't been able to actually catch up with my hunters rested total even though I can normally see the end of the bar.

hmm he must have rested as well as heirlooms..
I have rested but no heirlooms and it still took all day constantly questing and killing to get 2 levels on my lock.
this is 0 downtime and 0 breaks and still took over 8 hours to get 2 levels.

Pre-4.0, it took about 4-6 hours per level depending on being rested and having heirlooms or none. 8 hours for 2 levels post 70 sounds about right.

Did they changed dungeon quests in WoTLK and TBC to match old world?
I liked getting my dungeon quests as i zone in. I hope they changed it for the "newer" instances.

My little gnome priest is 48 now it was seriously boring before i got SW:death and devouring plague. Now i just queue random and chain pull 2-5 mobs and kill away. I haven't had this much fun leveling a toon since ... since my last one.

FWIW, I finished leveling my paladin from 77-80 this weekend. I had 500k XP/hour and it took roughly 8 hours for all three levels.

um how exactly did you do that? you do something other than questing solo/waiting for random dungeon?

talked to 4 other players here at work and they reported about the same as me.. roughly 4 hours per level with rested and heirlooms.

Didn't do any randoms. Just a lot of questing while watching football. No heirlooms.

I was still in Boring Tundra.. I mean Borean..

and got to 74 from 72.. did 3 randoms during the time..

its all about knowing what quests to do and which groups of them give the best bang/buck
