I'm still considering how I want to level my warrior, who may be the 2nd or 3rd pair. I think I may do Paladin+Warlock, because they have all three gathering professions covered. It made me weep last night when I left all those skins behind . Warrior+Priest can only do mining.

My Warrior does have his very own pocket Priest, so healing is a non-issue. I did 70-80 as Arms because I love being able to charge in combat (you get put in combat often when leveling). Makes me also want to give my Enhancement Shaman the Lightning Shield glyph so I don't have to refresh it after every damn fight!

Honestly, prot spec in dps gear is probably the easiest way to level as a warrior. If your gear is decent, you can kill most mobs in the duration of a shockwave with a revenge/shield slam combo. You also have more defensive cooldowns as prot if things get hairy. I'm basically only playing arms just to stay practiced for the upcoming arena/bg season.

I hit 83 last night btw. Everyone else in <Vodka> hit 85 yesterday morning somehow, and have already cleared a bunch of the heroics.

what I read was that guild level was capped at 1 level per day, this being day three that's where most guilds will be. since blizz decided to fuck those not in the PST zone, the server reset for the cap is 3 am so those in PST that were actually able to start playing at midnite may have been able to hit level 2 before the first reset/lock period and could actually be level 4 today.

I'm enjoying questing slowly, reading the lore, and checking out the new areas too. I went through Hyjal the first day, got 2 levels. Did a little over half Vash last night for 90% of the next level. I haven't done any instances yet, and haven't upgraded any gear yet either.

I'm with you. I leveled a Worgen Warrior to 14 to get him out of the starter zone. I'm going to let him rest up before playing again. Now I've taken my DK to MH. He's my feeder toon for my blacksmith and my JC so he's collecting volatiles and Obsidium. I'm having a tough time retraining myself to slow down and read the quest info to get the "story" out of it. With 4 lvl 80's and several 70's and 60's, I don't bother reading the quest info anymore. At the most, I'll just read the quick and dirty synopsis at the bottom of the quest page. I'm really liking the new stuff. Seeing as how everyone is leveling so easy/fast, I'm in no hurry. My focus is to get my crafters up to speed and maybe make a little money.

Ok so I downloaded the 15 day free-trial of WoW. I enjoyed it so now I would like to actually purchase the game.

My question is..Do I actually go out and buy a retail copy of the game and then a subscription card to play it or do I buy the $20 license from the warcraft site which gives you full World of Warcraft license and 30 free days of game time.

This is probably a dumb question, but I'm new to pc gaming.

I believe it is $5(Original) + $5 (BC)+ $10(WoTLK) when you buy from Blizz, making it cheaper than buying it from the store. You don't need to buy a card if you want to just sign up for recurring.

That deal ended on the 30th, it is back to full price, and it depends if you want a disc and box or not. There are sales on the net for the original games, and someone had 3 dollars off cata already, welcome to your other life

Buy whichever is the best deal. It doesn't really matter in the end because everything is tied to your battle.net account anyway. You'll get 30 days of gaming for purchasing the original game no matter what. After that, you can either buy a game time card or use a cc on battle.net.

However, when you do the install, download the installer from Blizzard whether you got the boxed version or not. The installer will get you up and running much faster than having to install the original game, TBC, WotLK, and Cata from the discs.

Deepholm is much faster than what I did in vajshr but vajshr is cool in itself as the zone is completely coherent from anything else in wow

when I heard about an entire zone of underwater, it was a puke inducing moment. Having now played through about 80% of the way to the zone's quest achievement, it is actually a fairly neat place with some very unique use of graphics. it is quite funny though when in the first area to hear people asking for ports out cause they can't stand it.

I had quit back in the middle of September because I was getting way too invested in the game. Damn expansion drew me back in though and now I'm completely lost. I missed 4.0.1 and 4.0.3, so it almost feels like a brand new game. I'm kind of liking the fact that I'm having to relearn everything.

No more raiding for me this time, though, going to try to take it casually and see how it goes.

Is the quest 'Twilight Skies' working for anyone? I can't even do Twilight Highland because the lead-in quest isn't working! Ugh!

We had several folks who wanted to try their hand at raiding who never raided before. Just abruptly vanished.

Just a heads up... once you complete Hyjal, you cannot go back and do the trampoline achievement, due to a phasing bug.

Hm, it seems doing both starting zones isn't a good idea. Simply the amount of EXP needed to level grows so high and the quests don't give as much experience that it's just not worth it :\.

I really do not like the new Cataclysm zones... they're long and boring as hell. I'm in the last part of Vashj'ir and I wish it was over quite a bit ago.

I went to Hyjal first... did ALL the quests there (up to and including the fight against Ragnaros)... and was over 3/4 to 82.

Then i moved to Vashj'ir ... and i'm probably halfway thru the zone.. i just finished the series where you have to save the big turtle thing in the Shimmering Expanse.. Nespirah .. and i'm less than a bubble from 83.

Yeah, I am the same way. I want to read it, but old habits were hard to break. I finished up Loremaster on my DK a couple months ago, so I got very used to not reading much of anything trying to do 800+ low level quests quickly.

I'm glad to hear this! I did all of Hyjal, then all of Vashj'ir so far. Vashj'ir seemed to take a long time. I enjoyed the area and the new aspects of it. But when I got to Deepholm last night I picked up a couple quests but didn't have the heart to do them and start another big chain. I wandered around mining and got my JC up high enough to start doing the dailies instead, lol.

Give PVP a shot! I quit raiding after leading a Naxx 40 KT guild because the time commitment was too much. Instead, I focused on PVP which was challenging, but less of a time commitment.

sad day, my guild has decided that we're only going to be focusing on 10-mans in Cat.

I guess it doesn't really matter to me because I wasn't planning on going back to hardcore raiding again, but I still think it's pretty sad considering that the guild was formed in the first place 5 years ago as a merger between smaller guilds who wanted to get into 40-man raiding.
