anyone else having imp problems, like when summoned they sit there with their controls greyed out and the evade like sparklies over their head? got it a couple times when starting a dungeon.

I did some regular dungeons today... they weren't too bad I guess. Not a lot of people stressed any form of CC until any wipes started happening. Fortunately, Shamans can CC almost anything.

Just do them, you'll learn quick, but apparently you need to actually cc mobs now.

stopped by BB tonight to look at some TVs, and on the way back i passed a wow cata display in the center of the aisle. interesting thing was that in addition to the dozens of regular copies in the display, they had close to 20 collector versions sitting on top of it.

other than the original, none of the CE's have seemed particularly rare.

I've just been using wowhead for strats on new bosses. Always use your cooldowns on trash pulls, especially if your group is not CCing (not absolutely necessary to CC in regular instances, but helps the healer, and is good for practice for heroics). In the first few heroics we wiped more on trash than on the bosses.

i havent done any heroics yet, but im sure once people start getting geared it will be a lot different. i remember whiping on wotlk heroics at the beginning as well

Well, I got back in (sans expansions - don't need em yet) and rolled up a Tauren Pally. I'm playing with my brother so we've got the refer-a-friend bonus to xp which is just ridiculous. My Pally is ret but I feel like everyone has a ret Pally.

I want to be different, dammit. What *isn't* everyone playing these days?

So, I decided to ditch leveling two characters at the same time, and I already got my Paladin into part of Deepholm (~82.5) after ~5 hours. So much faster and so much less hassle!

That place was pretty irritating at first, but once I got the hang of it, it wasn't too bad. It's also easy to smoosh the eggs when no one else is there .

EDIT:

I also ditched leveling as Prot... man, whoever suggested that doesn't realize how much faster it is leveling as Ret! I can pull just as many things onto me because they simply die faster so I don't take as much damage .

I don't know if you mean Slow Fall or Levitate, but I've used Slow Fall quite a few times and I've never been disconnected.

Yeah, slow fall. The mage spell. It's weird, it's every time I do it. I can't imagine what would cause that.

Finally done leveling with the paladin last night. Hyjal 80-82, maybe 2/3rd of Vashj'ir to 83, Deepholm to 84, and Uldum to 84.9. After the few prep quests for Twilight Highland at Stormwind and about five quests in the TH zone, I dinged.

Without experiencing TH, Hyjal and Uldum are my two best zones. Vashj'ir is the one I anticipated the most but it bored me out of my mind I couldn't even finish the zone. The underwater aspect is cool at first but it got old in about half an hour and then it just felt gimmicky and annoying.

Hyjal has a great storyline and takes the cake for the most epic finale quest ever. I'd guess that this feeling is especially true to people who raided Molten Core back in vanilla. The nostalgia effect is in full speed here. Did anyone else say 'LOOT THE DOG!' out loud the first time you saw an area full of core hounds and lava surges?

Uldum is just simply excellent storytelling and the way the quests are setup with cut scenes every other quest like we're playing a movie is just amazing. I can imagine how some people are annoyed with this though, and maybe I will be too on the next 2-3 run through. Heh.

I'd rate this expansion 9/10 for Blizzard, purely for the questing experience from 80-85 and leveling a new character in the undead area from 1 to 35 (not having touched any new dungeons or raid instances).

BC CE was a dude, but with wrath they went back to ingame items and that was sold out pre launch at most on line places and somewhat hard to find in store after releae.

Blizz needs to add more money sinks into the game. I got my Sandstone Drake and now nothing to spend all my gold on lol.

Well now that my guild is making attempts on Nefarian (25 mans), the heroics have become much easier since we have gotten some raid gear. We are basically chain pulling and no CC anymore with occasional breaks depending on the healer we have at the time. Most of us are down to one or two more achievements to get our heroic drakes.

Was a fun rush to get to this point and has been great exploring all the new content and the boss fights are all well done. Some have gotten hotfixed to be much harder or much easier on normal modes. Definitely looking forward to the heroic versions and what has changed.

Also there are some massive time sinks if you want to take them on and help with guild achievements or with archaeology, other professions, rep grinds, pvp. Feels like a brand new game for me since I have played for 6 years (one break around end of Naxxaramas 25). Hopefully everyone else is enjoying it, it seems like from what people are saying it is mostly decent and once some of the random bugs and better dps/healing/tank differences become closer it will be even better.

There are two caverns at the bottom, where you can pop 50-100 eggs at one time... makes the achievement trivial.

Ventured into Bastion of Twilight last night on 10 man. Group was composed mostly of folks in full Heroic Blues (and random epics from rep ect). Hylfius Wyrmbreaker (sic) just pushed our poo in. It felt like there was just too much damage going on and not enough healing/DPS to go around. We got the combo of Nether Drake, Storm Drake and Whelps. We released the Whelps and Storm drake at the start, and had a good interrupt rotation on the boss. Still the best we got was about 35% before the healers were entirely OOM. Probably doing something wrong that I'm not picking up on, but our raid seemed kind of disappointed and threw out the "we're undergeared" card. I'm kind of not buying that.. but meh.

I skipped the story line in Hyjal, Uldum and Twilight Highlands, thinking about going back and doing those zones, worth it?

Yes they are the 3 best zones IMO, also the rep you get is helpful unless you already ground out all you needed for items/enhancements

Well, you can get several achievements, a bunch of free rep, and a bunch of gold. Given how long dungeons queues still are right now, why not.
