Plan on getting the mage to 85 and the paladin to 85 within about a week since it seems like leveling will be very fast. Then the grind to gear up for 10 mans since about 10 to 15 of our guild seems to be taking off days to level up will mean we get into a raid within probably the first two weeks.

As for after that...will probably roll a worgen and goblin to go through the starting zone quests since I want to explore all of the new content available.

Three weeks cannot come soon enough though. Been gathering up flasks, potions, pretty much anything that will increase my travels to 85.

That change isn't for griefers. Seems the gold farmers have low level bots set up around a lowbie graveyard and just continually farm each other and turn the honor into gems.

Why a Worgen for DKs? I still use a Human and I kinda like it for nerdlore reasons (the pre-Arthas DKs were created from dead Human bodies... i.e. Teron Gorefiend).

..For the Crit bonus. My DK is an NE, and I hate the Human fighting animations.

No plan to do anything new I have 3 80’s I need to level for crafting purposes and my main 80 a hunter, and my Druid alt 80.

I also have a 71 hunter on the hoard side and a 30 something rogue.

I might dump the hoard hunter just to see the opening area of the goblins and dump the rogue for a worgen

4.0.3a is on the PTR.. and its tagged as "release" .. so unless a major bug pops up... it will probably go live next week.

I noticed my UI scale was turned off and I had to turn it back on in the interface settings.

Yeah the UI scale got turned off for me as well, but all I had to do was move quartz and bartender around a few numbers to reposition.

Fun bug was going to Lootship last night and the ship disappearing or flying away and the reappearing at max distance to the right hand side of the encounter. Hopefully it is fixed today so we can finish up the instance as we went back and cleared up everything else.

Mine was a bit worse. Had to turn it back on and do a couple of ui reloads to get it back to normal. At one point it had my char portrait back in the correct point but the soul shard indicator was by itself halfway down the page.

Yeah that was a 'fun' bug. Couldn't do damage to the ship, no adds spawned on our ship, ship floating in and out, and we couldn't even suicide by jumping off.

Then, since we couldn't do ICC we went to fool around in RS. Had a few pugs who'd never been there and a bunch of alts AND we were shorthanded so we wiped a couple times on mini-bosses. Fun. THEN we get to Halion and I'm thinking we wont make it past phase 1, beginning of phase 2 at best. I was wrong, everything was splendid until the beginning of phase 3. Then we discover the portals are bugged too and everyone is stuck in twilight realm.

We recently changed our raid night to Tuesday because of the new lockout system... I never appreciated how nice it was raiding Sunday/Monday after all the bugs were worked out. Sigh.

PS. I probably wouldn't be so frustrated if I wasn't SOOOOO close to my 50th shadowfrost shard

I'm sticking to my one character (warrior) in Cata. I've always preferred to master a class instead of dabbling in all of them.

Didn’t have any UI issues last night but I run with minimal add on.

Have been experiencing the JOY (Sarcasm) of 5 man PUG groups again on my Boomkin. I just recently got this alt toon to 80 and my gear ranges at the low end a Herloom chest piece at 187 to the high end of a 264 trinket and everywhere in between.

I decided the 251 drops in the event would be perfect for this toon but I gave that up as I had done a lot of runs and hadn’t even see any of the leather DPS drops or other caster DPS items.

As I don’t run this alt in my guild raids I figured marathon heroic running for Justice Points was the obvious answer. These days, as a DPS character, most instance runs are shorter than the wait time in queue so I can get in a lot of runs in one evening.

The WORST run by far last night was with a tank in a group who never stopped between any pulls and let mobs get on the healer and ran off to the next pull. We actually ripped through Draktheron Keep pretty fast anyway, didn’t have any deaths and took out everything along the way. Just a few trash mob fights before the last boss he says “DPS is FAIL in this group”

I had forgotten how horrible some PUG groups can be and how many immature/stupid people play this game. I would say that about fifty percent of the PUG groups were terrible for one reason or another. Perhaps it’s just that people in these groups are either alt toons like my boomkin trying to get a few pieces of better gear prior to Cata or they are people that are so terrible that they can’t stay in a guild.

Ended up doing enough runs in one night to get T10 shoulders at around 600 Justice Points, but man what a PITA.

Luckily I only run about 10 to 15 mods, my old UI might have been a lot worse than what I am running with now (basically minimal to me as a healer or almost non-existant on my mage/tank).

Yeah I am working on my Shadowmourne after watching one person get 35 and then we decided to gremove him and then missing a week of shards. At 10 right now with Gunship to LK up, but not going be be able to finish it until after Cata which is somewhat depressing.

The next patch will blow up the world (and assume the new quest and everything else will come) but old world flying and the new races require the cata expansion.

Did the latest patch reduce dailies' quest gold? Just noticed today when doing the usual rounds of fishing, cooking and argent tournament.

13 something gold for the daily rewards did seem lower yes...but I haven't done many compared with most so maybe someone else can answer that.

yes it did, it seems the patch turned off the XP-Gold conversion when you do quests at max level

it was applied to all daily quests

I haven't checked to see the thread just linked, but an earlier one I read surmissed that this change wasn't about xp reward being removed from the calculation but rather the xp calculation being revised to account for 85 being the new max level; so in theory you're getting xp now...except for the fact your max xp is currently locked.

I’d be pretty pissed as well if I hadn’t stopped running daily quests so I could level/gear my Druid…. Questing was my main source of gold because all my crafting went to my guild bank
