So, I hit 80 on my DK yesterday. I have no idea what to do now lol. Aside from leveling priest and paladin to 80 that is.

in 2 weeks you'll have 3 toons to level to 85 too. Right now I'm bored with the game, trying to get my dk his kingslayer before cata but that hasn't gone too well so far. I'm capable it's just finding a pug thats not retarded, which sounds easier than it is. At least I got it on one toon, which will be my alt in cata.

I ended up getting the shield on my Warrior... and I have to say, my threat seems to have taken a hit. Well, at least in the beginning it looked like that, but I started trying to weave more Heroic Strikes in and my threat seemed to get quite a bit better. It's definitely not as "ezmode" as the previous way where on a heavy-hitting boss, you could simply spam Heroic Strike. Although, you almost always had to keep an eye on your Rage just in case.

I don't know, having played a class for 6 years gives a pretty good feel on how blizz has continually mucked it up over time.


Didn't bother changing the local of most of my chars, when I logged into the ptr it had me just outside org and seemed fine.


Think I'm going to need to delete all my addons saved data. The disconnects are getting so bad. In full screen mode I can tell when I've landed from a flight without looking at the screen. The lcd on my keyboard will show game stats even with the game minimized and when it changed from stats to the WoW logo, I know I've landed cause I've been disconnected.


Any place have text write ups of all the zone changes? I know that wowpedia did but on each individual zone page, would like someplace to read that has that all condensed to a single page.

I would think that write up would be pages long. Although you could probably copy and paste each zone into one long wall of text.

Are you sure that all of your addons are at the most up to date versions? I was having a problem with random crashes and realized it was due to an old version that I had not upgraded. Although it seems strange that it is on landing.

Is it at any other points? Is it consistent/same wow error? Also what server are you on? Could be so many different factors right now since all of the patches coming out. Best suggestion is turning addons on one by one and seeing if you crash or not. I usually do not suggest deleting all of your addons unless you want to restart from fresh on a new UI.

All the addons are updated for 4.01, although the saved data files for some of them go back many, many months longer than that.

The reason it occurs on landing is due to the server disconnecting me because of too many server data request (go from landing where the game can scale back to landing and collecting info for nearby npc/pcs and such. Hopefully flushing all the data files will clear whatever is causing the hiccup and demanding so much server data.

Is there actually a content patch to download today or are they opening up the changes from previous downloads?

I tried downloading this morning and there was nothing. So I'm hoping they are literally just flipping a flag for the zone changes.

Even though we most likely have the majority of the files, wouldn't be surprised to see a d/l of up to 1gb of install files to process it for us.

Just read a blizz post. There will be a patch for today, and this patch will be the final through launch. The new areas will be kept isolated until the 7th via phasing which goes away on h-hour.

Logged in to my paladin yesterday for the first time since May. Prime glyphs are new. Thought it was weird we have all of the glyph slots even at level 80. Figured they would keep one locked until 85.

Overall I like the changes, holy power is a cool concept.

You'll just be stuck in Northrend. If you're somewhere else (that's being affected), you'll be teleported to the nearest graveyard.

I just loaded WOW while also on a conf call on my headphones... the cinematic started playing right away so I had to quit out of it. Now I load it up again and it doesn't play anymore... anyone know where I can see it?

try the cinematic button? i thought there was an option in the loader...or maybe character select that shows cinematics you've unlocked.


btw what is everyone going to make? I'm thinking of going worgen druid...

wow so that's what that button does?! The cinematic was pretty good...

BTW, they're now saying 8pm ET. Why not just make it 930pm ET cause I gotta put my kids to bed beforehand too...
